It was Outstanding! Our tour guide did a great job on all the descriptions and offering information. Very informative and enjoyable.
It helped that the weather was perfect. 80 some sun not much wind. The person who told us about the buildings, and the river and the city was informative and entertaining. I have been on this tour before several times and this was the best. I learned a lot and enjoyed the entire trip. So will my wife. It was not a lecture about architecture as much as it was a story about where we were and how it got to be that way. Supurb
The volunteer who voiced the trip was INCREADIBLE! I learned a lot of Chicago history along with architecture. Would recommend without hesitation.
Nice cruise for a nice city. The crew members were really kind. It would be perfect with an audio guide because my husband and children don’t speaker english fluently.
We learned so much and couldn’t believe the extent of the tour and guides knowledge. We went our first day, and it helped us appreciate the fabulous architecture the rest of our time in the city.

Nice attraction guided by a knowledgeable guide who discusses the different buildings and architectural styles from around the Chicago river. Though the perspective is good (better than directly from the streets) and the story is interesting, I thought it was just okay compared with the 50-60$ you have to pay for it. I think it could have been longer (1h30-1h40 for my trip). It is something that is interesting to do but would qualify as a must-do. It is my opinion and I know other people were more impressed by it.
Chicago's First Lady architecture boat tour was fantastic! We did a 9:30 a.m. tour on a Friday morning -- it was an awesome experience from start to end. The tour was informative and fun and the views were incredible. I highlight recommend it for anyone visiting Chicago. The Chicago Architecture Center as a great way to follow-up the tour. The 3-D model of Chicago was very cool. Both experiences are worth your time. Hope to do it again the next time I visit Chicago.
Rebecca, the CAF docent did an EXCELLENT presentation of the history of the various skyscrapers as they were viewed from the "First Lady of Chicago 1.5 hr boat tour. HIGHLY recommended. 5 out of 5 stars!!!

A fun way of enjoying a relaxing viewing of the city’s architectural highlights along the Chicago River. Our retired orthopedic surgeon docent kept the auditory cortex area of our brains active describing the significance of too-many-to-count buildings, interspersing his monologue with Chicago history. 90 minutes well spent seeing Chicago from a different perspective.
Our guide was a treasure trove of knowledge about everything we saw. Amazing historical background, explaining the different types of architecture. A truly enjoyable way to see the city and learn at the same time. I highly recommend it!
Aboard” The First Lady of Chicago” 1.5 Hr boat tour of the Chicago River, docent REBECCA presented an excellent running commentary of the architecture of the sky scrapers surrounding the river. REBECCA is from The Chicago Architecture Center ( a non profit at 111 East Wacker drive and she knows her stuff andc is well spoken . 5 out of 5 stars. Not to be missed , twilight is a great time to go.
Been going to Chicago for years and finally did this tour. It was amazing! The views were breathtaking, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and the pictures I got were crazy cool. A must do!

I would highly recommend the 90 minute architectural boat tour to anyone new to or familiar with Chicago. If your new, take it early in your trip. It’s such an informative, fun and relaxing experience. It will help you navigate and appreciate the city throughout the rest of your visit.
