I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss the chance to see all the things Chicago has to offer in regard to architecture and this trip was wonderful! They had a docent who was very knowledgeable and kept me interested for the entire trip. What a great way to view Chicago!!

The organization could not have been more cooperative in ticketing, etc. Love that everyone gets a seat outdoors. Guide was non-stop information! Very educational and well done!

As my second tour, I again found it informative, interesting and nicely laced with unusual historical snippets about the background of the buildings. Many thanks to the staff for the info and such a nicely maintained ship.

What an amazing way to see the city. The tour is spectacular. The docent, Kent, was incredible. So knowledgeable about, and appreciative of, the architecture, planning and beauty of the city he’s called home for many decades. The buildings are spectacular, and yet also greatly enhanced knowing their architectural background. And so much easier to appreciate them from the river. They were designed with respect to the river and their neighbors, so it is the only way to fully appreciate them. We could not have had a better afternoon. So glad we chose The CAC Architecture Cruise. We can’t recommend it enough.

The river trip was fabulous because of the docent on the trip, Prscilla. She gave a fact filled running commentary about the history of Chicago, the river, the buildings with clarity and humor. A bravo performance.

Everything was perfect, from the moment we started boarding until the end of the tour. Everything seemed to us as if it has been tailor-made specifically for each participant! The guide greeted each participant personally and showed interest in everyone equally! Without a doubt, an experience that we will always recommend!

My daughter and I really enjoyed the Architecture Cruise. Our guide shared so much interesting information with us. We could hear him clearly and he told us after the cruise he would be by the ship to answer any questions. Wouldn’t accept a tip either! Would highly recommend this activity while in Chicago!

I bought the tickets online for the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise for our trip to Chicago. We were a little confused about where to go, but the ticket booth was so helpful and even printed out the tickets for me. This was my third time going on the cruise and our volunteer tour guide was exceptional1 "Mitzi" was articulate and incredibly knowledgeable, making history, environment, social issues and architecture all fascinating--we hated the cruise to stop!! The Captain was wonderful in explaining the rules and safety precautions and it was, all in all, probably the best I've been on, but the previous two times were also wonderful. I always take the Architecture Foundation's cruise and have never been disappointed. Of all the "tourist" options, this is the best. DO NOT MISS THIS!

We had a great time on the boat. Our guide was very knowledgeable, well-spoken, and friendly. The ride was great and we had beautiful views on the 7:00pm boat. The drinks on board were a little pricey, but not unreasonable. Overall, great!

This is a great tour. The boat ride is comfy. The scenery ( architectural buildings) were AWESOME -JUST FANTASTIC!! The tour guide was excellent! Well worth your tine & money!

A friend recommended we take this tour on our first day in Chicago. It was such a fun way to learn about the history of Chicago and its architecture. Our docent, Susan, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. We enjoyed sipping a cocktail and soaking in a beautiful day along the river!

As long as the weather is cooperating, this along with the WNDR museum are must-do Chicago activities. This is the best ship with the most knowledgeable docents. Only improvement would be to remind the crowd at least twice about stopping loud conversations during the narration and also kicking up the volume on the top deck.

I believe our narrators name was Randall. He was an excellent, enthusiastic speaker and made the tour fun. I had gone on another one from Navy Pier a few years ago and quite frankly didn't learn much. When I saw that actual architects volunteered to speak I signed up and was glad I did. I booked a room for 5/days and the cruise was my first day and was the star of the show. As I drive around Chicago and see the buildings I remember what I learned about so many of them. It may be a touristy thing to do but very informative. Today I did Chicago 360 which was 1/2 of what it should be because of some construction and Navy Pier. Completely different experience and how you feel after it’s over. Tourist trap comes to mind. Your cruise was top notch and very beneficial.
