Cage the Elephant is a powerhouse rock and roll band from Bowling Green, Kentucky, that combines blues, classic rock, and funk into an eclectic and raucously fun sound. They formed in 2006 and signed to Relentless Records after playing the 2007 South by Southwest music festival. The band’s self-titled debut studio album was released in 2008 to commercial and critical success, spawning singles “Free Love,” “In One Ear,” and the hit “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” catapulting the band into the UK and US mainstream. Their sophomore album Thank You, Happy Birthday reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with singles “Shake Me Down” and “Around My Head.” Cage the Elephant toured relentlessly for ticket holders in 2009 and 2010, opening for Foo Fighters, Manchester Orchestra, Silversun Pickups and Stone Temple Pilots. Their third studio album Melophobia came out in October 2013 on RCA Records with the single “Come a Little Closer,” opening up their sound with alt-rock and punk textures. They will finish out the year in concert with their high-octane and kinetic live show in support of Muse.
Love there music but the man was wildly coked out and couldn’t finish his set. AND HE WAS BLOWING A WHISTLE INTO THE MIKE REPEATEDLY. Will not see again
they put on such an amazing show. they are definitely one of my favorite bands and i had the time of my life watching them perform! there was so much energy on stage and you could tell that they cared about their fans. i can’t wait to see them again!!
Finally got to see My favorite band n they was amazing. Very entertaining to watch
The show qas wonderful but the parking situation downtown harrisburg is awful. Took me over an hour just to get out of the garage. Show was great, venue is cool next to the river, but the people flow needs improvement:)
They rocked the stage. Involved crowd so much. Loved them
The guys were full of energy and put on a fabulous high octane show in the State capital. They wound down the show a bit odd, but i guess thats nothing out of the norm for these guys.
They were great! Sounded incredible and super high energy show! Must see them!
The venue was awesome I got to Riverfront park early and was lucky to get close to the stage and met some great people. I went alone for the first time and tbh it couldn’t have been any better. Glove opened up and was very satisfied with them. Cage the elephant blew it away tho! I saw them once when I was 13 it was my first concert and they were opening up for muse. I’m glad I was able to see them this far into their careers. I did sense the brand growing apart a little bit but I could be over analyzing it. I hope they stay together longer cause they are definitely my #1 go to band. But still where every their paths take them they will shine especially Matt Shultz. He literally came out in a disco ball suit I was blown away. Bravo I really hope to see them preform again!
Gorgeous venue on the Susquehanna Perfeck night Electrifying show as always.
Amazing concert. Loved the venue and happy they postponed due to rain.
The organizers decided to change the date of the concert at the last minute (the night before the concert ), a lot of people like me had to travel for hours to get to Harrisburg, but found out that there were no concert and lost all the money and reservations made. I love cage the elephant, but this organization was terribly done.
It was amazing go go go you need to go to one of these concerts it was amazing. amazing music amazing performance the opening band glove was really cool as well. I would swallow a spoon just to see them again. Go. Now.
Very nice & organized. Staff was helpful & organized.
Set up was nice & organized. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
The music and venue were fantastic. However, I wish there had been a more accurate location provided beforehand along with details and suggestions for parking. We had a bunch of trouble finding where exactly the event was located as well as trying to find parking close enough to the venue. Other than that the experience was amazing.
the sound system kinda sucked up in the front, there was a lot of feedback from the mic towards the end, they played more intros and like intermissions than an actual show. and there was like no lighting by the stage.
I’ve been waiting for more than ten years to finally see Cage The Elephant! They are my favorite band, and in all honesty have saved my life with their music during the hardest times of my life! I feel truly blessed to have seen such an amazing show! I’ve seen lots of live YouTube videos before, and seriously nothing compares to seeing Cage live in person!
Cage the Elephant was awesome! Matt Shultz was pure entertainment. They played a great mix of old and new songs. It was very moving when everyone sang along to Shake Me Down. Venue was incredible, relaxed and picturesque! Glove was a great opening act. Their song Behavior is a gem. Hearts to CTE!!
The Venue, awesome. The crowd, fun. The opener (Glove), meh. Cage The Elephant- I really enjoyed the stage presence, they played nothing but hits. The downturn for the concert was the end. It was abrubpt and then ended on a sloppy acoustic solo. The crowd wanted more. So badly too.
The entire concert was amazing! From the bands performance, to the way ticketmaster made everything very easy to access
