The whole night was wonderful! Mr. Stevenson was exceptional.
I have heard Bryan Stevenson speak before and this was even more powerful because he brought in more of his life and inspirational motivators.
I was disappointed overall. I had the privilege of hearing Bryan Stevenson speak to a college audience back in 2018 and this lecture was essentially the same one. Was also disappointed with the sound and lighting for the other groups featured at this event - not what I expected from a top-tier University presentation. At least the lecture in 2018 was free to the public!
Bryan Stevenson is the very embodiment of what Christians would call a saint, what Jews would call a mensch! His passion for justice is contagious; his love and respect for those he serves is palpable! It is impossible to come away from hearing him speak without the desire to do *something* and to discern what that something is!
I enjoyed the performances and was moved by Bryan Stevenson's address. His conversation with Jim Ryan was an excellent complement. The other supporting remarks could have been shorter.
Bryan is hands down the best speaker I’ve ever heard. He speaks with clarity, detailed knowledge, and personal experience. He is also amazingly humble. And finally he came armed with practical examples of how to get involved.
This was by far the BEST talk event I have ever attended. I could have listened to him for hours. Lawyer, Activist, Teacher, Speaker. He is truly doing Good Trouble.(John Lewis) If you get the chance to go see him DO IT! You will leave with knowledge and a spark of fire.
Everything was top notch. Fantastic music; one of the best speakers I’ve ever heard and a good interview.
Importance of proximity (getting up close and personal) to brokenness so that healing, justice, mercy can come alive.. Mercy is on trial now, in this time, Fear and anger are leading decisions, behavior, actions We must not let fear and anger rule our lives.
Bryan Stevenson gave a powerful, empowering and inspiring perspective on how we can and should impact the culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Justice is the opposite of poverty and we get a better grasp of it in action through proximity to those trapped by poverty and injustice.
