Great experience very entertaining for all ages

by Connie on 3/28/22Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

Experience was great from start to finish. Arrived early for fear of where to park, which was a non event, pulled up and parked on the street which cost me $7.00. There is a lot attached which is $17 so parking is not an issue. Walked to local restaurant called Drew’s on Halsted (less than aBlock away) the service and the food was fantastic. There are plenty of places within walking distance if you want to grab food before or after the show. Walked back to the show and walked right in the door, no line only catch was you need proof of vaccination and a mask. Website shows that you need proof of vaccination but does not mention the mask. Luckily they were able to provide me with a mask. Theater is very small so there is no bad seat in the house. The show itself is a mixture of art, music and comedy. The majority of the audience was 20-30 years of age but I was with my 86 year old mother and she loved it. This is entertainment for all ages. Hard to find something these days that entertains all ages, this show is that. Great venue for a family event.

    Fair

    by J. C. on 3/28/22Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

We saw the Blueman group show about 6 years ago at Universal Orlando and loved it. The one in Chicago was not nearly as good. There was a lot less humor. There was far more drumming and less interactive humor than we expected. It seemed to lack creativity. We still had a good time but it did not meet our expectations.

    1st & 2nd show experience

by Rich on 3/23/22Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

We went to see the Blue Man Group several years ago. The actors in 1st show shot a lot of paper strips, balloons, beach balls, etc. at the audience. It was great. I was looking forward to part of the show and was disappointed as this portion was very watered down. Also there were more skits. The music was clever and good. All in all it was good but no were near to pour 1st experience.

    Never saw the show

by Disappointed on 3/23/22Charles Playhouse - Boston

Unfortunately we didn’t get to see them. After a 1 1/2 hr drive down to Boston I found out that “park wiz” had the wrong information about the garage I booked and couldn’t fit into the garage. So I drove around the area for another 45 minutes trying to find another but couldn’t.

    Disappointed

by TM on 3/22/22Charles Playhouse - Boston

Ive seen the show years ago. And was up in a balcony seat. I was excited this time as i purchased tickets in the poncho seat. When we got there no ponchos on our seats. I had asked and they told me due to covid. They modified the show. They indeed modified the show, quite a bit. Despite the Lack of a Poncho we still had a good time. I just wished there was some transparency when purchasing tickets.

Second time around - just as good.

by Simon on 3/20/22Charles Playhouse - Boston

Last saw the blue moon group in Orlando in 2019. Much bigger venue. The Charles Playhouse is a much better venue for them. Great fun.

Eyes Wide Open in a Good Way!

    by J. A. on 3/16/22Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

I took my daughter to see Blue Man Group as a Mother-Daughter treat. I am now the coolest mom on the planet! My daughter told me "Mom, when my eyes are wide open like this," she made her eyes huge, "I am having the best time EV-VER!" I looked into her eyes as she made them even bigger. LOL We just had an absolute blast. There were a few large groups of people who arrived on buses to see the show. At first, I was hesitant until I saw that everyone was ready for a good time and being super polite to each other. A few of the large groups really knew each other very well, which made for more hilarity when audience members were involved in the show--or rather they got volunteered by their group and the rest of us joined in to make sure that they were picked! Very fun! Will totally enjoy another show again soon! The Blue Men and band accompaniment were funny, interesting, powerful, inventive, inspirational and down right silly. Have I shared enough? LOL Thank you to everyone involved in keeping this show going! It is worth every penny. : >

Not a bad seat in the house. The live band makes the show next level. The Blue guys? They know how to have fun! Great experience overall!

Brilliant entertainment and a good laugh.

by UK JEM on 3/12/22Astor Place Theatre - New York

We had booked for mezzanine but it was closed- we got moved to 3rd row for free. It was very good and the theatre is not big so it’s very intimate as well. The show is brilliant, same one in all places apart from the volunteer who they get onstage. Only thing about this is the merch is expensive and not worth it.

    Disappointed

by Brenna on 3/9/22Charles Playhouse - Boston

I’ve seen Blue Man Group 5 times over the years and always was super satisfied. I brought my twin 9 years old and we’re so excited thinking they were going to love it. But we were all extremely disappointed. The show went down hill. Not enough action. I paid extra to sit in the second row with the children and wear ponchos. There was only a 30 minute section where 1 of he guys grabbed what looked like a soda gun and squirted a small amount of water. They never did the twinkies and no toilet paper at the end. The children said they were extremely bored and wanted to leave. We stayed for the whole show as I was hoping it was going to get better. They went over to their drums about 5 times. The row of people behind us also voiced their disappointment. I’m very sorry to say I would never return to this show. It was a total waste of time and money

    very blue

by Bigebbe on 3/9/22Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

It was great. Very funny, very entertaining. I may have over-expected. Expressions were very humorous. I thought the pvc music was a little lengthy, and I thought that there would have been more happening. Like I said I over-expected, so not disappointed as much as under-wowed.

    It was awesome

by Nick Fish on 3/8/22Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

I got to the show and the line wasn’t long. We got checked in and got seated in our seats. They had some messages to the audience. The show started and it was funny entertaining and a night to remember.

Not at all what I expected (disappointing)

by Jen on 3/8/22Briar Street Theatre - Chicago

I have seen the Blueman Group advertised many times while in Vegas and had much higher expectations for this show. It was not worth the money spent. Not even close. I felt like I was watching a clown show like you woukd expect to see at a circus. The few times the Bluemen played their percussion instruments, it was cool. But the majority of the show was horsing around like a toddler clown show. Never again! Do not recommend!
