Arch Enemy on Tour
Veteran performers, this melodic death metal group have toured far and wide beyond their Swedish origins. One of Arch Enemy's first outings, the Burning Bridges tour, was a rough ride — in 1999, bassist Sharlee d'Angelo was replaced twice. The band smoothed things out as they hit Japan a few years later in support of albums Wages of Sin and Anthems of Rebellion. Ever since, Arch Enemy's aggressive jaunts have spanned the globe: Europe, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and even South Korea. They've toured with groups like Trivium, DragonForce and Opeth, and have shared festival bills with bands such as Megadeth, Judas Priest, Slayer and Anthrax. June 2019 marks the start of a massive world tour beginning at the Rock am Ring festival in Nürburg, Germany, and hits the U.S. in the fall.
Arch Enemy Background
Arch Enemy were founded in 1996, and the group's original members included guitarist Christopher Amott of Armageddon and drummer Daniel Erlandsson of Eucharist, as well as guitarist Michael Amott of Carnage and vocalist and bassist Johan Liiva (both of whom were also in the Liverpool-based extreme metal group Carcass). Releasing Black Earth in 1996, they started gaining an audience right from the beginning. The album, released on Wrong Again, debuted at No. 193 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 97 on the Swedish charts. After the success of Black Earth, Arch Enemy signed with Century Media to release Stigmata in 1998, immediately followed by 1999's Burning Bridges. Both albums charted in the U.S. and Sweden, as well as France, Germany, Japan and Finland. In 2000, vocalist Liiva left, was replaced by German death metal singer Angela Gossow and the new lineup released Wages of Sin the following year. Gossow was the group's frontwoman until 2014, when she was replaced by Alissa White-Gluz. Released in 2017, Will to Power was the band's first album to feature clean singing; it was ranked on Metal Hammer's 100 Best Albums of 2017 list and won Best Album that year in Burn! Magazine as well.

I love everythings about Arch Enemy and I hope they come back soon
All three bands were amazing. Can’t say enough about how good Arch Enemy was. The venue was nice and clean. For some reason they had the balcony closed so everyone was in the floor. I had my daughter with me and she couldn’t see because she’s short. We got there early with the anticipation of being able to get to the front on the balcony, but it was closed. We didn’t want to be near a mosh pit so we had to stay back and she couldn’t see much.
Amazing!!!! Arch Enemy hit the stage and didn't let up at all. My only disappointment was that Atlanta couldn't muster the crowd they deserved. Amazing band, amazing performance, hope they come back.
Forcing everyone to pay 20 dollars for parking because there was another concert going on at the amphitheater. Beer hall couldn't validate parking like normal due to that other concert telling them not to. During the show some person attempted to fight 4 security guards and got thrown out after being shoved out of the venue. Never seen that before but good job to security. Same girl crowdsurfed about 10 times, multiple times falling because she tried to do it through the moshpit where there were no people standing. Crowdsurfing is fine but maybe dont let the same person do it double digit times because it gets old very fast for everyone expected to hold her up.
I drove from somewhere in Idaho to The Depot in SLC to see Arch Enemy for the first time. Hopefully not the last. This show, based on where it was, felt kinda like a personal show for each and everyone of us. I dont drink, I did enjoy the fact that I could get unlimited soda and I was able to eat there. The first 3 bands were awesome. Then Arch Enemy came out and the hair on my arms stood up. It was an exciting entrance to the stage. Right from the get go, Alyssa took charge of the crowd and belted out some mesmerizing vocals. The guitars, the bass, the drums, just made the place shake, rattle, and roll. One of my other fave bands for a long while is KISS. They once said "If it's to loud, then you are to old."
I’m not very familiar with Arch Enemy, so this is coming from a neutral perspective. I went there to see them cause the singer is Doyle’s main squeeze and I like the Misfits a lot. The music was pretty good, but too melodic for me to say “awesome.” The vocals, she can hold her own. Weird coming from a hot chick, but cool. Seems nice too, when she stopped the show to make sure that guy who got knocked out in the pit was taken care of. Overall, I had a decent time, but probably wouldn’t see them again.
Finally got to see Arch Enemy, live, this week at the Fillmore Silver Spring. Great opening bands and the perfect venue set the stage for a fantastic show! Arch Enemy killed it. Big set list with most of what I hoped to hear. Great stage presence, tons of energy! Glad I didn't miss this one!
What a fantastic show! I love this band and to see them in a venue like TLA? Aside from being old and general admission, it was a fantastic show! I was thankful that the security team suggested going upstairs to try to get seating. It was an upcharge for a seat, but my old knees thought it was worth it! I just wish the option to buy a seat was offered upfront! I would have done it!
Finally got to see Arch Enemy. It was great, right up front video the whole show. Allycia is HOT. the music is great. I always wanted to see Arch Enemy.. Well worth it.
