Anaheim Ducks History
What began as a 1992 Disney movie turned into a professional hockey team as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim played their first official season in the NHL in 1993. With the emergence of Paul Kariya in late 1994, Anaheim had its first bona fide superstar.
In 1996, Teemu Selänne arrived via trade, and alongside Kariya helped lead the franchise to its first playoffs appearance in 1997. The Ducks reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2003, where they lost to the New Jersey Devils. Forever etched in Mighty Ducks lore was the knock out delivered upon Kariya by the Devils' Scott Stevens in game six. Kariya would make a hero's return in that game, emerging from the locker room to score and lead the team to victory. Netminder Jean-Sébastien Giguère won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the playoffs, becoming the fifth player to win the trophy as a member of the losing team.
Disney sold the franchise to Henry and Susan Samueli in 2005, and the team dropped the "Mighty" from their moniker. With star players on the roster, including future Hall of Fame defensemen Chris Pronger and Scott Nidermayer, the Ducks finished the 2007 season as Stanley Cup Champions, defeating the Ottawa Senators in five games. With Rob Niedermayer also on the roster, the Niedermayers became the first set of brothers to win the Stanley Cup together since the 1980s. The Ducks have been in the playoffs a total of 14 times in their 29 seasons.

Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center
Located in Anaheim, California, the Honda Center opened on June 19, 1993, and hosted its first-ever NHL game with the Ducks’ inaugural season opener on October 8 of that year. In 2005, Honda Center became the first arena in the U.S. to have two full levels of 360-degree ribbon displays installed. A couple years later on June 6, 2007, the Honda Center hosted Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, where the Ducks defeated the Ottawa Senators 6-2 to become the first California team to win the championship. The arena can seat up to 17,174 hockey fans for Ducks games.
The Anaheim Ducks’ 2023–24 regular season kicks off in October at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, when the Ducks face off against the reigning Stanley Cup Champions Vegas Golden Knights. The Ducks play their final game of the regular season at T-Mobile Arena once again against Pacific Division competitors the Vegas Golden Knights. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:

Although the Ducks lost. It was a great game. The goalies on both teams worked so hard. I was really bummed when the Ducks left the goal unattended to have the goalie play. Great staff, great venue, and perfect weather with no rain in sight.

Parking was an absolute nightmare. Limited signage, people supposedly directly traffic were no assistance whatsoever. We were told due to construction, parking will be a logistical problem for a few years. Allocate an extra hour before the game just to get into the general parking. Once in the arena, the venue and game were a pleasure. Ticketmaster should collaborate with the Honda Center officials to provide more options for parking.
I've been going to games for over 10 years now, wins and losses, the Ponda center is a great venue and has made some solid additions in recent years. Arena food is decent, but when food trucks come it's a better experience eating before the game if you can get out early and beat the traffic. With current construction, I prefer parking on the other side of the freeway to avoid the leaving rush, as crossing guards help keep the short walk simple and safe. Our Ducks are in a tough spot right now but, everything is looking up. Even though we aren't doing great in the standings, many talented guys are making their way through the ranks and proving themselves. The game we went to was close until some bad calls in the third lead to one of the top teams in the league (oilers) to capitalize and steal a close victory. Even after almost two weeks without playing, they looked great. Looking forward to seeing the team continue to grow and to be there for more special moments at the Honda center.
Only bad part of our experience was the parking. Directions were terrible. Suggest actually saying the lot number on the signs. The poor attendance had to keep turning vehicles around and taking a minute or two to explain new directions. We made in time to see game start but I assume many did not see the first period. Go oilers.
It’s the first time I watch an ice hockey game in the US, and it was a remarkable experience! I enjoyed the time cheering and chanting my with other fans, and the game was so exciting and fast-paced that I couldn’t miss any moment. Yet, I would wish that there could be more transportation guides to the Center before the game.
Fun night of hockey. Concession and parking prices are a little high, so plan accordingly.

Food outlets poorly organised and ridiculously expensive. The system for distributing food doesn’t work. No where to top up a bottle of water so not environmentally friendly and being forced to pay for a plastic bottle of water doesn’t sit well with me.
Arena definitely looks from the 90s, but good vendors and comfortable seating. Audio could use a bit of updating though.

I've been to a number of NHL games in different arenas. I was really impressed with the Ducks organization and the Honda Center in general. The arena was super clean, staff was kind, and helpful. The seats were so comfortable, and the sight lines fantastic. I only wish there were more food options in the upper deck.
Great overall, but tried a coffee and was pretty bad. Dumped that out and later tried the hot chocolate, should have finished the coffee.
This arena is a bit dated. But overall good experience. But food and beer prices were criminal. 18$ usd a beer. Jesus that’s 24$ canadian. Made for a 1 beer night as a canadian visitor to watch the oilers it made Roger’s place look cheap.
It has been a long time since I have attended a hockey game. All of the on-line portions of the booking were seamless and intuitive. The price of tickets was fair and we had a great view of the game. I would book a similar experience in the future if the opportunity arises.

Loved the game, the atmosphere, and the experience.
It was fun. My first time at an ice hockey game ever. Went with my younger brother who also had a great time. Told me how the game was supposed to go b/c I don’t know much about hockey. Would totally go to another game again.
