All the bands gave amazing performances. The highlight was a short lived set by Skillet. My only complaint would be that 20 minutes of this band was just not enough.

98 Rockfest - VIP was the Ticket!

by JohnyRico on 4/4/11St Pete Times Forum - Tampa

My lady and I recently attended the 98 rockfest, meeting the bands was so much fun and I have to say the Guys from Crossfade where great. We had the best time and the show couldn't have been better. The entire lineup was amazing and Cory Taylor's pre show acoustic set was as always fantastic. Stone Sour was thier full on relentless self on stage and rocked the house. Seether was the amazing and Shaun Morgan is a world class song writer and talent. Halestorm exceeded anyone's expectations and Skillet may have had the performance of the night!!!

98 Rockfest 2011 ~ why that band as headliner?

by IrishKCP on 4/4/11St Pete Times Forum - Tampa

All the bands were AMAZING up until 3 Doors Down. It got a little sad after that. The first five inside were great but I left my spot on the rail in the pit because 3 Doors Down kept playing sappy ballads from way too long ago. I have never left the pit to go sit down at a concert EVER. People were actually leaving during the headliners set. Other than that I had a great time and can't wait for 98 Rockfest 2012!

    Fantastic Show

by Goonitup on 4/4/11St Pete Times Forum - Tampa

It started outside at 2:00 pm with some great acts. The Best group was EYE EMPIRE. At 530 the doors opened and HALESTORM hit the stage and opened the show. They were great. Next up was SKILLET. They totally rocked and in my opinion were the best of the night. SEETHER was next and this trio put on a great show.THEORY OF A DEADMAN played next and were very good. STONE SOUR then took the stage and blew the doors off the joint. Super great performance. 3 DOORS DOWN was last and plated very well. Overall a great show for such a long day.

    Crossfade Rocked the stage!

by afldrummer on 4/4/11St Pete Times Forum - Tampa

The outside show was much better than the inside show! The sound quality inside the forum was horrible but, I still enjoyed seeing the bands!

    Awesome Concert!!!

by Ionebears on 4/4/11St Pete Times Forum - Tampa

This was an awesome concert. The line-up was phenomenal. Third time seeing Halestorm - Lzzy you rock! Second time for Theory of a Deadman - you guys just keeping getting better. First time for Skillet - you guys rocked the house, awesome show. First time for Seether and Stone Sour - Shaun and Corey were outstanding. First time for 3 Doors Down - love the music but must say I was disappointed in the lack of stage presence.

    good and bad

by auchad99 on 4/4/11St Pete Times Forum - Tampa

I thought the show ran to late. The thing that I thought was kind of werid is that 5 bands played, 4 of them were pretty heavy....I wouldn't call it metal, but they were heavy, and then 3 doors down is basically just rock. When Stone Sour was finished, the crowd started to leave. when 3dd was half way done, the pitt area was cut down by about half. I thought the arrangement was a little strange. The GA Floor (where I was) was caged into a skinny area. If I would have known it would be like that, I definitely would have paid the extra for the pit tickets. The bands were great. Hated people smoking in my face! I think this type of thing would be much better at an outside venue with multiple stages going at the same time.
