I had such an amazing time. All the arist put on a great show. But, for me having the bands interaction with my son who was in the pit with me. Even the radio station had him on their website. So... it was very memorable
My expectations weren't super high after last year's incredible lineup. I even considered skipping it. I'm glad I didn't. Lots of amazing bands and Seether / Staind didn't disappoint.
We came to see Staind but enjoyed all the bands they really did a great job!! We had a great night and made good memories!! Staind NEVER disappoints!
Good to see 2 headliners that ACTUALLY sing. The performances and the sound were great. One of the best. Just be prepared to sell a kidney or re-mortgage your house to afford drinks at Amalie. $20 for a fucking draft beer is INSANE.
Sat in section 312. Excellent for the sound of the bands playing. It’s a little high for some people. But the sights and sounds of the venue is A class. I would attend another event depending on the bands on the list.
Tickets were easy. Parking was great. Crowd was fantastic & music was awesome
Lineup could have been better.... Everyone seemed rushed. Paid good money for front row and when the band I truly wanted to see was up they allowed the people that had been setting beside me the entire time to trade seats with drunk ignorant smelly people that did nothing but block my view and spill drinks on me the entire time. Didn't even stay for the final act because the inconsideration was rediculous. Never had such a horrible experience in all the years I've attended.
The 1st 3 bands outside the Amalie are in extreme heat for all, there needs to be some sort of shade out there. The show inside was incredible 98 Rock always puts on a great event there
The Usher in section 109 was very helpful to show me where to plug my medical scooter. Also an usher outside showed me the outlet outside of Amalie arena to charged it too
Have always enjoyed coming to 98Rockfest. Been to all but maybe 2. Sorry but the sound system at Amalie Arena is terrible. Time to change the speakers?? The concert sounded like the music was coming from worn out speakers. Music was loud but had no hi-fidelity characteristics.
The performances were amazing! No complaints there. However, the crowd was horrible. My first 10 min there someone tried to steal my phone out of my pocket. There were no security in or around the crowd to tell. The litering was horrendous. It was like every single person there was using the floor as a trash can. You couldn't step anywhere without stepping on a cup. Unfortunately I probably will not be returning just because of the disgusting crowd it brings.
Most layed back festivals Iv been too! A lot of fun and great people.
It was very good up until Staind took the stage. Arron Lewis voice just sound off and high pitched. Had to leave after 3 songs..
Artist were great but the volume was too loud so music was distorted.
98 rockfest was pretty awesome! Great line up, great people attended. Always friendly and welcoming!
We love tons of different music from many genres. We see roughly 15-20 shows per year in Florida & Georgia. We have seen many, many shows at Amalie. We have been in the front row, 4th row, section 118 to the side of stage, on the floor by the sound board, on the 2nd level, etc. We CAN NOT find anywhere in that venue where the sound is good. It sounds canned. It just bounces off the walls and sounds terrible. We hate to see when bands book there. And the traffic & parking in downtown Tampa are a whole other monster. Loved the bands at 98 Rockfest. Asking Alexandria, Seether, & Staind were great! The VIP pre-shows were cool and the signing with Staind was good but Aaron wasn't there which was a big bummer. The people that work at Amalie are always very friendly & helpful. Please choose the Amphitheater next time. It's such a better venue for sound! And isn't that why we're there? :)
One of my favorite Rock concerts. 2024 "98 Rockfest"did not disappoint. 🤘✌️
The actual artists performances were incredible. The VIP experience could have been better. We got in early at 4pm (general admission came in at 5pm). We waited for the signing with Staind until almost 6pm, and Aaron Lewis wasn't there which was a huge bummer. The tickets for the VIP event said there was a signing with the members of Staind, which misled me to belieblve ALL the members would have been there. The line was incredibly long for the signing, so since we had GA floor tickets, if we had waited in line, we would have been at the back of the crowd despite having "early entry."The prices of alcohol were even more than I expected too. A "double"of bottom shelf liquor was $25. Free water at the VIP event was a major plus though, it was hot out! Concerts themselves were a 10/10. But I think some of the execution of the event itself could have been better.
98 Rockfest was amazing! Staind, Seether, and Asking Alexandria were the bands we came to see and they did Not disappoint! Other bands were good too! All around great music and fun night!
