My son is obsessed with AJR, so I was ecstatic when I heard they would be in town. This was his first concert ever and he enjoyed rocking out to All Time Low and AJR. 97X kept the place clean, had a few good sponsor booths there and had the best entertainment!
I went back to my youth days out in a campfire, playing live music out loudly
Overall good experience - couldn’t beat the two day line up - nice work 97x Parking and traffic getting in or out was a bit of a cluster - especially for day one. Better food choices would make a better experience.
The performers - the ones we knew AND the ones we didn’t know - were all absolutely amazing. The stage presence was extraordinary, as well as the screen and light coordinations. The performers did not fail us and I can’t wait to go again
General admission situation on day 2 was horrible. Absolute cluster. Horrible experience for so many people. Live nation did their best. Said after 20 years. 97X still gets it wrong so often. Thank god for the bands and venue and the fans who make it awesome
Great venue except alcohol is pushed way too hard. Mostly every vendor is selling alcohol. The water is sold in a can made to look like beer. So for those who are in recovery, this makes it very difficult to visit your establishment. The communication between staff and concert goers was terrible too. I paid for tickets online and they were scanned by staff the new way they are doing it now. We were told by staff to sit in any seats in the sections listed on the ticket. We sit down for an extremely long time and then finally realized and told by other people we had to go to ANOTHER table to get paper tickets that had actual seat numbers. The bathrooms were clean at least.
Friday was a great show and 21 Pilots never sounded better what a great concert. Saturday was nothing but 90's alt rock glorified punk. Every band sounded the same. Alternative rock has changed from the 90's where were those bands in the line up? VIP amenities were no where to be seen. I could have paid half the price for a standard ticket with a better seat. Venue and staff were wonderful and bathrooms were kept very clean, Kudos to the staff.
Very good first concert experience. I thought that because of the length it would be a little boring, but bastille AJR and all time low blew me away. I was slightly disappointed by weezer they seemed out of it. Also 8 submissions to meet the artists none won. :(
Everyone was so nice!! The people at front gate, parking people, people in the venue, the food and drink places, everyone made it so lovely for us!!
All in all a great music festival. The first couple bands on the main stage weren't really my kind of band but they weren't intolerable. Everyone after them was really great. I am not a fan of AJR but my wife and daughter enjoyed them. For me, the highlight of the evening was definitely Weezer but I also really enjoyed Bastille and finally getting to see All Time Low who was sooo good.
I’ve been to so many NBT’s and this was by far my favorite. The lineup was amazing and all the artists gave insanely fun performances
Show opened with a local favorite, Sommer Hoop who was fantastic. To follow up Meet Me at the Altar also put on a great show. Glass Animals was next and they were the highlight of the night for me. I really enjoyed their performance! 21 Pilots was the headliner and they were also very good.
4th year attending and it gets better each year!!! It's become our family tradition
Venue and artists were great. It was simple to get in and out of the venue. Thought it would take forever to leave once the show was over but it went surprisingly quick!
This was an early Christmas present for my daughter. It was her first concert experience and it was the best thing to happen all year. Thank you for the amazing line up, clean venue, and a memory that she will cherish forever
The bands were all great. The weather was perfect. I am not sure why we can't get more music festivals in FL in the winter months, when it's actually pleasant outside. The only thing I have an issue with is that some people still think that the general admission tickets that they are given are their actual assigned seats, so I saw several awkward interactions where people that showed up later in the day wanted to sit in seats that people had been occupying all day. People that show up late shouldn't get better seats. That makes no sense, which is why everyone picks a spot to settle into at some point in the afternoon, well before that last wave of people that show up after 4pm.
This festival has been very good year after year, not huge amount of things to do but great lineups and food choices. The pit tickets are a bit pricey but the experience with the performances is great, decent amount of free goodies in the vendor tents too
Weezer killed it but those other bands are far from "alternative" music. 97X needs to change their branding to "Today's Pop".
Best concert much needed but I think not just the unvaccinated should get tested for COVID .. acclimated should too
97x NBT 20th anniversary concert was exactly what we needed here in Tampa. We went to day 2 where we saw Yungblud, All Time Low, AJR, Bastille and Weezer!!! Yungblud was on stage at 4pm, which I felt was a little early for his type of music. I believe had he been later in the night the crowd would've been more active. Tampa really let this artist down. Other than that and some technical sound issues here and there, the rest of the bands that followed were great. So excited AJR is coming back in May of 2022. I feel like they got the crowd pumped more than any of the other bands including Weezer. I loved seeing Weezer, they have been on my list of shows to go to for a long time. Its too bad there were audio issues when they started their set. Couldn't hear River singing at first until they fixed the mic issues. These type of sound issues really interrupt enjoying the show. But overall it was a great concert. Shout out to Sam at 97x and the rest of the team on getting these bands together and putting on a great show again. It would be nice if they took a survey on who people want to see at next year's show.
