It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to be at this event. My only feedback is that having an event like this at Cowboys Stadium probably isn't the best idea. Yes, you can sell out the tickets and make tons of money, but for the people in the cheap seats, you can't see the floor. The basketball floor is so much smaller than the football field so it's just not an ideal place for basketball. Also, we got there an hour early to get our seats, etc. and the audio speakers in the upper levels wasn't turned on until about 4 minutes prior to game time. I would have had them on the whole time to hype up the crowd. I had a great time just being there though and if I had the opportunity to decide again, I still would go.
The event itself was great. Shakira and Alisha Keyes were great choices--if only we could have heard them. We were in section 448. I have sat there at a Cowboy game and not had any problem hearing, but on Sunday night it seemed like the speakers at the top of the stadium were not even turned on. It was better in the second half, so maybe they made some kind of adjustment. I liked the various films with the stars, but again couldn't understand what was being said by Boyz 2 Men. Hopefully they will bet this worked out for the SuperBowl.
The game was great, but the parking was horrible and unorganized. The parking was too far from the venue but once inside the stadium was beautiful. I am going again next year and can't wait!
I would not recommend anyone buy the standing room only tickets at the Cowboys Stadium, these tickets are a total ripoff . I also purchased a beverage while I was there, in hopes of getting a 2010 NBA Allstar souvenir cup, and low and behold I got a freaking cup with the Dallas Cowboys logo on it. Overall I was very dissatisfied with the SRO baseline tickets I purchased.
This event was not good. I spent way to much money to not enjoy this event.
The game was mixed and or combined with the magnitude of the stadium and the mass of people make the event even bigger. You had to be there.
Great seats, good food, great crowd control. Lots of bathrooms.
FANTASTIC! This is the first year I was able to attend the actual all-star game, even though the NBA says it's for the fans....the fans are able to get tickets to the game. This year in Dallas the fans were allowed to purchase tickets and have great seats just like the players, agents, celebrities etc which is suppose to the be reason this event is held. Dallas did a great job! Now that the game is going back to LA the same problems will occur ,the venue will not be able too accomodate the fan, nor will we be given the opportunity to purchase tickets. Kudos to Dallas! I will attend every year it's in Dallas!
It was an awesome experience. Didn't like the standing room only tickets though. Also the stadium is not a great place to watch a basketball game.
For the price of the ticket, All-star saturday night was boring and mediocre.
The headache of trying to actually get into Cowboy's Stadium is enough to make you change your mind about attending an event there. You can only go through a certain door depending on where you are sitting inside. The metal detector lines where wrapped around the stadium. I took approximately 75min to actually even get in the stadium. Then I got inside only to realize that the tickets I purchased 8 months ago had a obstructed view. They were behind a big stage. All, and all I was not impressed.
WOULD RECOMMEND GOING TO A GAME BUT NOT AT A PLACE SO BIG, IT WAS FUN BUT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO BE ABLE TO HEAR THE GAME AND SOUNDS
Security was organized, visiable and great. Seats were ok, I expected a little more for the money. It would have helped if all of the screens and audio had been on before the game. I really appreciated all of the customer service for an event this large.
The Game was awesome. The sound system/PA was horrible. Jerry Jones could have done better. You coud not hear or understand anything said by the announcer or performers.
first act, music was great, performer there was to much humpping going on there was alot a young kid i didn't like her show. alisha keys was great all around. this was my 3rd year going. i 'll be there next year too, with more friend wan't to go. the game was great.go east.
The screens at Cowboy stadium are huge! Even though I was far up from the floor, I could see everything. The game itself was fun and exciting. The only bummer was security for women, they only had one female guard and the line was extremely long. Cowboys stadium is like no other.
Enjoyed the game and half-time entertainment - the one thing I did not enjoy at all was having to wait over an hour on line in the cold to get in. Should they host this event again, they really need to review their security and how they control the lines outside - and those people who got impatient and started queue jumping, with no challenges from any of the stewards.
Poor staffing and major confusion. Missed the opportunity
This had to been the worst dunk contest EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only one even trying was the rookie who won the dunk in. Gerald Wallace didn't even give an ounce of effort. Hell I used to come up with better stuff than that when I was Ten years old playing on a 7ft goal. The highlight supposedly of the night was the worst but the rest of it was awsome.
