  • Oldie But Goodie

by DiDi517 on 2/19/14NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 5 out of 5

This is an event no one should miss. These groups are what music is all about. Each and every performer was outrageous. Nothing but talent on the stage. Non-stop action. These people know how to give a show. They dress up for the audience and give it their all. Well worth the money spent.

  • Awesome Show

by BrendanQ on 2/19/14NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 5 out of 5

This was our 2nd time attending the 70s Soul Jam and we loved it as much as the first. The line up was fantastic...from New Birth to Blue Magic, The Blue Notes, The Dramatics and finally The Stylistics. Those songs bring you right back to what you were doing in the 70s and I was happy to take the journey. The people, places and things all came rushing back. If you get the chance to see this show in your area, jump on it. You won't be disappointed

  • STYLISTICS STILL HAVE STYLE

    by Singlelady60 on 2/19/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Went to see the 70s Soul Jam on February 15 at the Beacon Theater. While all the performers were good, the Stylistics took me back to that day, when I was young and dumb and full of love.

  • The 70's Soul Jam was great....AGAIN.

by Rogeryve on 2/19/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I have attended this show before and the Stylistics were there. I invited a friend who was very ill at the time and the concert uplifted her spirits and she could not believe that she was seeing all this talent in one evening. We were sitting way high in the theater.. This time, I made certain that we were way upfront, orchestra style, I invited my wife for Valentine's and she loved it and of course so did I. I always appreciated the music and now LIVE and PERSONAL...Harold Melvin and this Blue Note were hitting the notes and so were the other groups. When the Stylistics came on...that was another story. They moved and grooved as one. Thank you again for a wonderful evening.......NOW...when are you going to bring on........ The Temptations??.........(singing).....Papa Was A Rolling Stone,,,,Where ever he laid his hat was his home.....and of course....Cloud Nine. Bring them ON....PLEASE...thanks again.

  • A Nice Way To Spend Valentine's Day Weekend

    by Sophia0518 on 2/18/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I was pretty much impressed with every group except The Emotions...their sound was not very good at all...if it were not for the daughter of one of the original members performing with the group, I would have lost total interest...she definitely inherited her mother's beauty, figure, and voice.

  • Great show

by nondas on 2/18/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The artist were spectacular. The sound system is a far improvement from past years. The lady's room attendent kept the bathroom immaculate. The bars were stocked with topshelf liquor and resonably priced.

  • 70's Soul Jams Valentines Concert

by Anonymous on 2/18/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent concert with the exception of New Birth they were SAD, everyone else was fantastic especially The Emotions, The Dramatics, and The Stylistics. Harold Melvin Blue Notes were also very good

  • Very disappointed.

Without insulting or hurting any performer's feelings, let's just say the show was very disappointing. I will say the Stylistics were good. However, the show was too long and I feel it would have been better if it were just Harold Melvin's Blue Notes and the Stylistics. After sitting through a lot of really awful sound quality and some very pitchy singing, by the time the Stylistics came out I was already done. I felt the show was overpriced for what you got.....a lot of bands that unfortunately were fabulous in their day but are well ready to retire. Also, almost everyone in the audience video taped the show. Very distracting. Live in the moment!

Singers voices weren't clear, music to loud and it drowned out the singers voices. all of the groups were rushed off the stage and the guy actually came out and took the mic out of the singers hand............very rude. the Staff was very nice.

The groups performied album quality, clear. They did their popular hits everyone joined in. My teen daughter enjoyed the performance. There 70's dance moves were a hit. The MC WBLS 'Quite Storm' moved things right along.

  • 70's Soul Jam was A M A Z I N G!!!!!!!!!!

by Bambinosbambina on 2/18/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing does not describe the talent on that stage. Took my 15 year old son with us this year. He enjoyed it as much as my husband and I did. Its just that type of show. You can take your kids and not be ashamed of lyrics or the presentation. The singing is amazing, their voice are out of this world. We cant wait for next years show.
