On the 18th hole, have the bigger screen in a better spot on the east side. The screen was all the way to the right of the enclosed grand stands and it too small to be able to read the screen from the general admission grandstand on the west side. After the tourney ends, have extra busses to move spectators back to the parking lots. Good food options. Have the option to refill water bottles or bottles that are purchased from the gift shop. Sustainability and reduction of waste. On hot days, like it was on Sunday, have a full body mister fans can walk through. This will help fans stay cool.
Tournament was great! Great views, lots of bathrooms and lots of concessions. Only miss for me and the other thousands of people was the lack of shuttle buses and organization of loading the buses at the end of the tournament. Everyone was packed shoulder to shoulder in the blistering hot sun waiting for the buses for over an hour and a half. I hope they either use more busrs next year or figure out a more productive way!
I can't wait until next year! The event was exciting and everyone who worked was friendly and welcoming! We will go back! Keep it up TPC/3M!
Polaris and other sponsors did it up right at the Vet's tent. We appreciated being able to step inside away from the heat and grab a cold water. Will be back next year.
The 3M Open website said no lawn chairs. Any lawn chairs would be confiscated. Being 80 years old, my husband and I would have loved to bring a chair or camp stool to use as the bleachers were few and far between. It would have been nice for a better clarification as to what constitutes as "lawn chairs". We saw many folks like us sitting in their chairs just like we wanted to bring....the kind that are light, fold up easily and fit in a sleeve (which we would have left in the car). However, we certainly did enjoy the tournament but we would have enjoyed it more had we known we could bring our chairs.
The PGA golf tourny was well run well organized and as a veteran i thank you for the tickets and the lunch it was great
Great golf event! Fun to see all of the great golfers. Well done!
One improvement I would suggest for the 3M tournament is a large scoreboard that everyone on the 18th hole can see easily. The only visible scoreboard was a small one on the other side of the lake that the players could probably see, but most of the fans couldn't read it. More scoreboards in general would have been helpful, especially on holes 17-18.
Awesome experience, especially being my first golf event. I attended Thursday and Saturday. Prices for tickets were good. Food/beverage prices were good. Very nice set up by all. Very nice that each stand took card. Was hoping for a little more grandstands, but based on the set up I can see how what you had was all that worked. I’m very very excited for Next year and more to come!
What great fun to see the worlds best players up close, and observe their special abilities!! World class event and we will all attend again in future years!!
Many spots with good view and player accessibility. Craft beer and local food trucks had been advertised but were scarce.
Loved going to 3M Open. The military box was great, but it was too far to the 14th hole. Long walk for the elderly. The merchandise tent was way to small. Finally, it was a very long walk to catch the shuttle. Need to have more stations to catch the shuttle. I know it was the first year, and I expect things will improve with time.
The 3M Open was the epitome of excellent competition and a unique and well executed connection between the community and sponsors. The golf was at an elite level among some of the worlds best and the young challengers. The course nearly perfect in condition as well as rewarding for taking risks and hitting great shots, yet punishing on missed shots and failing to hit greens. A couple of the worlds best golfers had a hard time while other did exceedingly well. To be expected at any tournament. Thank you 3M and PGA for an amazing day!
19th hole was nice but they had an exclusive area within the 19th hole that was only allowed for tpc twin cities members. If you have an area that you pay extra for you should make the entire area available for everyone, not just specific people. If the pga/tpc twin cities wants to treat the course members, and they should, they should have a separate tent/facility specifically for them. This would avoid the awkwardness of an exclusive area within an exclusive area
Had a great time at TPC Twin Cities with my son on Saturday, July 6, 2019. The crowd was manageable and friendly, the facilities were clean and beautiful, the golf event was very enjoyable and entertaining. The only negative feeling we had was a few choke points on the golf course for spectators to get through, such as the transition from hole 7 to 8. Other than that, it was an extremely positive experience (and fair prices for concessions, except for $4 for a bottle of water).
Had a great time at the 3 AM open. I had some concern about parking and getting to and from the event but it was very well run very short wait for buses. I’m looking forward to next year’s tournament.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience. Not quite up to the standards of the PGA event held at Hazeltine a few years ago, but outstanding for a first time event. Staff was well organized, trained and helpful. Parking and buses to the course were a pleasant surprise. The course is beautiful, although it is so large that many of the viewing areas were quite far from the greens. Areas for improvement: 1) more grandstands for general admission ticket holders, 2) larger gift shop, 3) more food selections. We had a great time and look forward to attending next year's event.
Everything went great, really impressed with the golf event, however the info for Zac Brown was sketchy at best, with conflicting information even on the events page, lack of porta potties also a big problem.
Overall, not bad. Food at Arnies cabin was terrible for 400 dollar price tag. Tasteless pasta, no fruit or veggies at lunch, generic cookies??? Dinner...chicken nuggets really? I could have bought 225 dollar tickets. Very disappointed. Zach Brown outstanding. Wish i could get back 175 bucks each for 2 tickets on food.
