311 in Concert
311 defined the 90s with a style that many bands would come to embrace – folding rap into more traditional forms like alternative rock and reggae. Their early 90s' hits "Down" and "All Mixed Up," tracks that carried their self-titled album to the No. 12 spot on The Billboard 200, introduced the world to an original sound that remains popular today. "Over the past few years, we've realized we're primarily a live band...and we're damn glad for that," said lead singer, Nick Hexum. Their fan base, dubbed the "The Hive", agree because every 311 concert is an intense, trippy and emotional ride. 311's most recent album Universal Pulse reached No. 1 on Billboard's Tastemaker Albums and Independent Albums charts.
With foresight and two decades of solid hits, 311 has turned the police code for streaking in Nebraska into an instantly recognized symbol for the meeting of ska, rap metal and jazz fusion. The band began in Omaha, Nebraska with Nick Hexum, Tim Mahoney, Chad Sexton, P-Nut and SA Martinez. The band went through several independent releases before signing with Capricorn Records in 1992. Their last album, in 2011, Universal Pulse, debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200. Since the introduction of their first album Music in 1993, 311 has released Grassroots, 311, Transistor, Soundsystem, From Chaos, Evolver, Don't Tread on Me, Uplifter and Universal Pulse. On every even-numbered year since 2000, the date 3/11 has meant the 3-11 Day Concert, when the band performs an extremely extended set. Fans who bought tickets to 3-11 Day in 2012 saw the band perform 79 songs over two days in Las Vegas. If you're looking for their 2014 album, it will be out on — you guessed it — March 11.
In the summer of 2019, 311 is touring with Dirty Heads for what they said will be a hybrid of "alternative sound and good vibes." The U.S. tour runs July 2-Aug. 20. They will be joined by pop trios Dreamers and Bikini Trill for all shows, with special guest performances by The Interrupters on all but six dates.

I haven't seen them since 2016 and still put on a great show!! They are always good, but this time it was special.
Never listened to SOS before this show but they were fun. I will give them a listen. Badflower was next and they were fantastic. Their set was about 45 minutes, way too short. That made the show. When 311 came out they sounded good just did not have the energy of Badflower. For my money Badflower could have been the headliner.
We actually came (several of us) to see Badflower, who often is the headliner, but was an opener in this case. It was about a 3 hour drive, so we left early.
I left my last review on the venue, not the band. It was my 10th or 11th time seeing them and they are my all time favorite band to see live. They sound great and put on a crazy great show! I hadn't seen them in a while and my husband didn't want to go because "he's not into them"but even he loved the show
I basically dragged my husband from Chicago to Gary to see 311 (11th time for me). He wasn't happy about me just telling him on Thursday night that I bought tickets and booked a room. He was very happy that he was able to leave the venue to smoke and the staff was very friendly inside the venue and within the casino. I'll definitely go there again
311 at the Sandy Amphitheater is the perfect concert. Great sound, more intimate, and the Amphitheater did a great job with quick lines for beer and merchandise. I will go to 311 at the Sandy amphitheater every time they come. 311 played a great set list also!
311 rocks, they have been for 35 years and I hope the party keeps on rockin for many years to come. They're the best guys, and the live shows are unmatched. The energy, stage presence and vibe creates a tour de force that all other artists should aspire to live. Thank you Nick, SA, PNut, Tim, and Chad!
Super fun show. 311 always sounds great and brings energy and positivity.
2nd time seeing 311 in Utah, the first time was in Oct of 2023. They put on such a fun show, that we decided that we're going to see them whenever they come through our state.
This 311 concert was fantastic! I never expect any less from 311. Highly recommend seeing 311 live!
Over the years, these guys have kept going so consistently and strong, they are simply amazing. I love their new music and classic hits and will always be such a fan. Dancing and jumping to their music keeps me young!
this band plays live music just as good as a studio album, great energy, every time I've these guys play, it's been awesome. thanks 311
311 sounded amazing live just like they did 25 years ago! Easy entrance with a barcode scan very happy thanks for a good birthday experience
311... this was my 6th concert in 2 years and they ALWAYS put on an excellent show. I have seen them at outdoor venues before but, this venue was seriously lacking. There was clearly something wrong with the audio (could hear the instruments perfectly, vocals were almost non-existent). I don't think this had anything to do with the band itself but, more so seemed like a venue issue.
311 never dissapoints. It's always a great show! High energy and positive vibes.
311 still brings it all these years later a lot of fun, energetic, great time
311 was incredible. Would pay to see them all over again! Great talent and was so amazing to see live.
Such a great show!! Brought me back to my younger days. There were a lot of younger people there too which was great to see and a lot of us older fans. They really brought it! Had so much energy! Was so happy I could be there.
Old music was better. New music sucks. Acoustics terrible. We walked out
My husband and I loved it even though we were tired of walking .. we enjoyed this show!
