10,000 Maniacs Tickets

We see 10k Maniacs every time they come to our area. They are *not* a band of old guys tiredly doing songs they made into hits 20 years ago. There *are* two old guys; and they are originals; but they bring a lot of skill and energy to the performance. Mary Ramsey, the lead singer who joined the group in the mid 90s after Natialie Merchant left , continues to astonish us. Even with a cold she sounds so good-- and she plays the electric violin (that's what it looks like, at least) as well as she sings. Just amazing.

10,000 Maniacs perfectly performed their greatest hits, their newest releases, and twice told tales (classic American and Celtic folk songs) currently in development. Mary (lead vocals and violin) was suffering from a cold, but gave it her all and only showed signs of struggle on a few songs. Jenn Grinels opened for the Maniacs and played and sang as well as a headliner. Once she gets her own band, she should be taking off to world renown. It was another great evening at the Birchmere.

The venue, Birchmere, is a great place to see a concert. The band sounded great. They played some new songs and the oldies but great songs. The lead singer was not feeling well but she sang and played the violin without showing signs of sickness. I look foreward to seeing these guys every year

It was a great show. The band was great, the singing was fantastic and as always the Birchmere is a wonderful venue.

Great concert that brought back a lifetime of memories. Well rehearsed. Mary was as good if not better than Natalie. The band played TOGETHER as a team unlike some that are never together. It's always nice to hear a band that doesn't cover up poor musical talent with volume!

Incredible show...Mary's voice is amazing....the whole band was amazing...but Dennis on Keyboard is just brilliant. Met the band after the gig....very nice experience, and just very good people. I would wholeheartedly recommend this show to anyone who loves great music.

As always, 10000 Maniacs put on an amazing show! Not only musically talented, but entertaining as well! Mary is absolutely awesome.Her talent, beauty and humor adds to this wonderful band. She is adorable ! The original band members were great as well as the new lead guitarist! I can't wait to see them again!

I feel bad that I didn't realize Natalie Merchant wasn't with the band for their thirtieth anniversary! Good show though.
