The Randy Bachman concert was one of the best concerts we have seen! He was amazing and I would go see him again and again. ❤️
Sitting through the opening act was a complete and utter waste of time - the music (read noise) was awful. We came to hear Randy Bachman's stories and songs. Please don't ruin our evening by doing that again.
I could have listened to Randy tell road stories about life on the road, ideas for songs and his name dropping of other musicians all evening. The music had you singing along and reminding you of all your younger memories. I lived and grew up in Winnipeg in the 60’s. BTO has always been my husband’s favourite all time band! It was a 5*+ concert.
Captivating from start to close, a great story teller, wealth of personal experience shared with his audience, knew his music now I know more about the man. Well worth going.
i really enjoyed that show and would like to see it again
We had an amazing evening listening to Randy Bachman and his band. We didn’t stop singing the entire time. He has such amazing stories of his life as a musician and just a guy from a prairie town (LOL) The Grey Eagle venue was nice… only comment (we are both shorter), wished that the chairs were tiered, you never know how tall the peeps are in front of you… but I do understand that it would have to be a permanent change and that would limit how they used the space. All in all a great night!
Best ever historical story telling music , the musical ride of your life Cheers Gdl
As a Winnipeger who was a teenager during the ‘60 and early ‘70’s, Randy’s stories of the beginnings of his musical journey with Chad Allen and the Expressions, Burton’s defection from the wildly popular Deverons, the rise of the Guess Who and it’s end, the formation of the precursor to BTO, BraveBelt, who I saw at a lunch time dance at Red River Community College brought back so many memories. I’ve heard many stories of how the songs came to be, but the details were a bit different than Burton’s. Very interesting. Randy get the tales light, and didn’t address their disastrous attempt at a tour in England with Bob Burns which left them broke and in debt, nor, the fallout with Burton. The band was excellent and Mick Dalla Vee , a fabulous tenor, was terrific on American Woman.
Randy was super entertaining and fun. Great vibe. Warm up band wasn't great.
