Randy Bachman and Heavy Blues - Class act!

    by Starrynightblue on 4/4/15Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Randy Bachman and his new band powered thru Potawatomi with a heavy spark to the old material and forged on with some wonderful songs from "Heavy Blues". Always been and still is a class act. You would do yourselves well to go see them!

    WAYYYYY COOL

    by ConcertGeru on 4/4/15Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Randy put on one powerful energized show. His band sounded great and were right on the mark for being younger people. He played some of the hits from his Guess Who days and certainly BTO, He also showed his mastery of his playing the Guitar. it actually reminded me of being at shows back in the 70's when everyone showed their talents. it was a very good show!

We had a little Guess Who, a little BTO, and a little new Randy stuff. The variety was awesome. Especially the Guess Who stuff.

    Randy Bachman rocked Milwaukee

by windlakejoe on 4/2/15Potowatami Casimo - Milwaukee

Randy Bachman killed it on 4/1/15 at the Norther Lights Theater in Milwaukee. Played all the Favorites and some really great new stuff of his new Heavy Blues CD. A truly underrated virtuoso of the guitar, I highly suggest seeing him if you have the opportunity.

Great music and storytelling about how those songs came to be.

    Randy Rules!

by revolver12 on 4/7/13Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

Randy Bachman's hometown stop was an absolute delight. He is surely the hardest-working man in the industry, James Brown or no, and I am amazed at the energy and production of this seasoned guitar master. His many anecdotes of growing up on the prairies and writing songs relating directly to his experiences had the crowd enthralled. Starting alone with acoustic guitar, he was quickly joined by his potent backing group, who added muscle to renditions of many of his Guess Who and BTO hits. Bachman had the audience rolling with laughter at the lively banter accompanying each number, but the real strength and joy of this night was the man and his guitar. He is a powerhouse on the 6-string, a true virtuoso who makes it look easy. I am so thankful he loves to perform!

    Excellent show!

by Gambleputty on 8/27/10Casino Rama - Orillia

The boys can still rock. I was amazed that Fred still has the best voice in rock. Overall, a fantastic show! The musicianship was great, but as a drummer, I would have preferred if their drummer had stayed true to Robbie's signature drum fills, and especially the feel for Four Wheel Drive, which was different from the original.

More like a jam session than a concert. Lots of songs I did not know.

    Bachman & Turner

by Strawberry5 on 8/10/10Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

The entire night was high energy. The Lead act was Lukas Nelson. No doubt we will hear from this new act in the future. His group started the night in high form and high energy. Excellent electric blue. (A bonus here was Lukas' willingness to go to the back of the Penn's Peak facility after he was done to sign autographs and talk to those of us there that night. I know that this is done often by country & western acts, but have seldom seen it among rock acts. I wish this practive was more wide spread today among rock & roll groups. We fans would greatly appreciate it.) Bachman & Turner picked up where Lukas Nelson left off. They performed many of the old favorites along with a number of cuts from their up coming new album. They were in high form and style. Over all, an excellect evening at an excellent venue.

    BT were outstanding

by larrydm on 8/1/10Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

Best money I've spent on a concert in decades. Wonderful sound- both old and new songs. I was expecting some drop off in their abilities but was pleasantly surprised. Great vocals and outstanding guitar work. My wife and I were both blown away and had a great time. Looking forward to seeing them again.

Lucas Nelson was a very good guitar player but it all sounded sorta the same for each song. B&T were wonderful but they could have started sooner.

We are here to rock you!

by poconoman on 7/30/10Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

That was said by Randy Bachman, and they did with a tour d' force of a concert last night. His playing was outstanding, and Fred Turner's growling and shouting has not lost any of its effectiveness. They played all the hits you would expect, and a few new tunes from the upcoming disc due out in early september. My favorite was "not fragile", which started out with the famous bass lines from Turner. These guys played their hearts out, I only wish the crowd got more into it. We are truly seeing history made, with this duo back on the concert trail after more than 20 years. Hope they come around again and do some outdoor shows, so I can introduce my sons to some good old ass kickin rock and roll. Thanks Randy and Fred, you still know how to play them guitars!

    Good to see the guys..........

by TeeBoe on 7/30/10Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

Considering all the weight loss, Randy and CF sounded amazingly the same as the old albums! Especially CF on Not Fragile when he screamed that 1 line. He sounded just like in the 70's. We were surprised he still got the high notes. At the end of the show I tried to remind him of our conversation at a prior show, but he could not hear me. For those of you that get a chance to see this show, by all means go! You will never see these 2 together again....................Thanks.

Still rocking after all these years.

by JPPJ on 7/30/10Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

They may have white hair and white beards, but Bachman and Turner can still ROCK, and sing great, and play their guitars with gusto. What a fun evening of thier hits and some new songs too. Of course the highlight was the encore song with everyone singing "Taking care of business". Penns Peak is a wonderful sounding venue and the crowd was truly enjoying the music (and a few beers). I have seen Randy Bachman perform once before with the Guess Who, this was the first time to see Turner reunite with Bachman, they seemed to be having a great time on stage. Keep on Rocking B & T.
