Monica is a Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum artist, 30-million-plus selling singer, actress, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, she began her career at 12-years-of-age and was the youngest female ever to have two #1 back-to-back hits on Billboard's R&B chart. "The Boy Is Mine," the title track from her sophomore album, garnered Monica pop success with a record-breaking 13 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Her success has continued throughout her exceptional and longstanding career. She achieved six number one hits on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, becoming the first artist with chart-topping singles in three consecutive decades, putting her in the elite company of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, James Brown, and Marvin Gaye who have had similar accolades.
In 2019 she launched her independent record label MonDeenise Music with the first single release "Commitment" hitting #1 on the Billboard R&B chart, and in August 2020 she released "Trenches (ft. Lil Baby)," the title track from her forthcoming new album, Trenches. She followed up with the release of "Friends (ft. Ty Dolla $ign)," scoring a Top 20 spot on the R&B Billboard chart. Monica followed with the official music video for "Friends." Directed by Sarah McColgan (H.E.R., Miguel, Charli XCX) and choreographed by Parris Goebel (Rihanna, SZA), the stunning clip racked up more than 2.2 MILLION views in the first week.
In 2023 Monica released her latest Trenches single "Letters" with the official music video featuring The Game - a sultry and intimate clip directed by Richard Selvi (Lil Nas X, Eminem, Polo G) from award winning creative and production studio, Swiss Made Entertainment. In addition, Summer 2023 welcomed the premiere of Monica's Apple Music show MoTalk Radio with basketball Hall of Famer & entrepreneur Shaquille O'Neal and country music star Mickey Guyton. Monica also performed on the Main Stage of the Essence Festival in New Orleans on July 1st while gracing the cover of Essence Magazine's July/August 2023 Digital Issue.
In January 2024 Rolling Stone featured Monica's hit "So Gone" at #56 in their "100 Greatest R&B Songs of the 21st Century," commending her "unapologetic realness." Monica's highly anticipated R&B album Trenches as well as her country album Open Roads (Executive Produced by Brandi Carlile) are slated for release in 2024.

Overall being able to see these artist was great. But the sound was so bad, you couldn’t understand them. At least on the right side where we were. Also when purchasing tickets on other concerts I’ve been to it tells us when there will be speakers , etc in the way of your view. Would have given it a great review, but it’s a bad experience when you can understand or hear them sing.
This is my first time at the Tacoma Dome and they should be ashamed. The big names they've brought does not reflect the venue. There were no additional screens to see the performers other than the main screen on stage. Poor Keke Wyatt who got the very short end of the stick with the sound and music. The sound engineers should be replaced. The sound ultimately got better as the night went on, and it wasn't that great for Ashanti as the closing act. I found myself bored because you couldn't hear the sound. In between acts, production members had their kids walking across the stage. There was hardly any visual effects that were worthwhile and they could've had better sound in a high school gym. Very disappointed.
I thought it was the most unorganized performances I ever seen. People were upset, I left early. Never again.
The seats we got were horrible I think you should put on the seat map where speakers are located all I could see the whole time is the speakers and not one of the artists acknowledged that people bought tickets on the side of them or at least have a screen to watch it from the whole concert reminded me of open mic night at a night club
Terrible concert. I left after the 3rd hour because it was so bad. 2+ hours of terrible unheard of opening acts is unacceptable when you advertise 3 main event performers and charge top dollar. Then for Mya to speed through her songs in Medley format giving one verse of each is just robbery!! She was on stage for 20 minutes!! I have NEVER been to a worse concert even including free performances at casinos from long forgotten performers. This concert was so bad I don't ever want to hear their songs anymore and I grew up listening to them. Fandom ruined!
Very convenient and had fun with my bestie. Security was great. Overall great environment for some fun.
The concert was amazing! All the ladies looked and sounded GREAT! Loved Monica’s set!!! WE WENT BACK TO 95! Can you believe it’s been almost 30 years! One for the book’s for sure!
It was lit 🔥 and I had a great time with my daughter we love all the artist 💯
Spent most of the time waiting for the act.. like over 2 hrs before any performance. Not worth the trip and money..
