With 10 Tony® nominations including Best Musical, SOMETHING ROTTEN! is a “big, fat hit!” (New York Post). Set in the ‘90s – the 1590s – this hilarious smash tells the story of Nick and Nigel Bottom (Tony® nominee Rob McClure and Broadway’s Josh Grisetti), two brothers who are desperate to write their own hit play while the “rock star” Shakespeare (Tony® nominee Adam Pascal) keeps getting all the hits. When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first MUSICAL! With its heart on its ruffled sleeve and sequins in its soul, SOMETHING ROTTEN! is “The Producers + Spamalot + The Book of Mormon. Squared!” (New York Magazine).

Haven’t laughed so much in a long time. Knowledge of Shakespeare and musicals makes the play more enjoyable. A woman next to me asked why I laughed so much. First of all it is a comedy, secondly I understood the jokes, sadly I don’t think she got the Shakespeare or musicals references. I’d go again just to laugh again
I was pleasantly surprised by this show. I'd heard a few of the songs, came prepared to like it. But I actually LOVED IT! Hilarious, and the cast gave an outstanding performance-ESPECIALLY for a super bowl Sunday matinee. Highly recommend going to see it, my daughter and I can't wait for it to come back so we can go again
The production and cast were wonderful and funny. It was a memorable experience. I happily recommend to go see this.
The show was very entertaining, the performance was exciting and the artist’s exceptional. It’s a “make you feel good” event.
Such a talented group of performers! The acting, singing and dancing were all excellent and the story is so much fun. Highly recommended for all ages.
One of the most fun and fabulous performances I've seen in quite some time. The cast was spectacular and the show referenced so many of my all time favorites. What a treat. Thank you Kavli Theater and the amazing performers for reminding me how much I love theater, especially when it's done this well!!!
Thoroughly engaging! Unique story line told thru song and dance. So close...Omelette rather than Hamlet, the next bug thing predicted. All to iur amusement.
Very talented cast! This theatre is one of my favorites & is very beautiful. The sets were one of the best parts. This has been one of my favorite shows for a long time & I’m glad I finally got the chance to see it live!
Thoroughly entertaining! Great music! Choreography and stage presence outstanding! Excellent "cast" choices!
