    Spectacular

by Morrie on 4/28/24Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Props and stage lighting amazed. Mufasa exuded the aura of a wise and strong king. Talented singers-Young cubs, the baboon, and Scar and the all character numbers were especially rewarding.

    Spectacular, amazing and totally enjoyable.

by The Crises King on 4/27/24Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

The first time I saw the Lion King was 27 years ago when it was in pre-production before going to Broadway here in Minneapolis. I've also seen it on Broadway. And now it is back home where it all began. The production is as good as ever and loses nothing. The costuming is phenomenal, the production is top-notch and the music is great. The puppetry mesmerizes you. However, I was disappointed in the sound system at the beginning of the show and in parts before the end of the First Act. The speaking parts were not easy to hear at times and were muffled. That is unfortunate and it was not just my comment. A production of this quality should have microphones for the actors that are crisp and clear and project without having to wonder what was said.

    Once isn't enough

by Chase on 4/26/24Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

My daughter and I went to see the Lion King when she was 15. She's been wanting to see it again. She is now 35 and I bought us tickets. It surpassed our expectations. We were in the front row so we were able to see all of the animals come up to the stage.⅚ Watching how the performers made each step while moving the animals was a show in itself. The bongo players and the Orchestra added an extra depth. We would have gone again if we were able. My daughter knew the words to every song. This is a production that should not be missed.

    Amazing! Absolutely wonderful! Strongly recommend!!

    by SeMn2024 on 4/24/24Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

The cast was so talented! The costumes were so creative and amazing. You become immersed in Africa, accompanied by birds, giraffes, cheetahs, wildebeest, lions and so much more. The music was lovely as expected. The dancers were very graceful. The musical beautifully followed the Disney original. It was such a wonderful show, and we enjoyed it so much that we hope to see it again in the future! It’s definitely a must see!
