About

Tenors of Rock on Tour

Few of us could even dream of playing the guitar like Angus Young or playing drums like John Bonham, but we all feel no shame in belting out our favorite song when it comes on the car stereo. That's the basic premise behind the Tenors of Rock — they reimagine the rock ‘n' roll concert less as a display of instrumental wizardry than a communal singing event. The five-man UK crew effectively blur the line between rock band and boy band, performing classic anthems by Queen, Guns N' Roses and Bon Jovi as a united harmonic front, like a barbershop troupe decked out in ripped jeans, covered in tattoos and flashing the devil's sign. (Or, in the case of the group's biggest and most animated member — Jimmy Denning — it's a mohawk, leather jacket and kilt.) But as a Vegas institution since 2017, the Tenors of Rock are no stranger to spectacle — at their shows, you can expect dazzling video backdrops, flashing lights, choreographed moves, copious amounts of dry ice and, of course, a room full of people singing along like nobody's listening.

Tenors of Rock Background

When they formed in 2010, the Tenors of Rock didn't boast the most rock ‘n' roll résumés: vocalists David "Dai" Richards, Jimmy Denning, Jonathan Williams, Tommy Sherlock and Dan Schumann were all veterans of Broadway and London's West End. But anyone who's ever heard a Queen record knows that the distinction between rock showmanship and musical theater has always been a little hazy, and when the Tenors of Rock appeared on UK singing-competition show X Factor in 2013 to put a vocal-troupe spin on fist-pumping classics like Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer," they became instant sensations. After performing concerts all over the world, the group settled in Las Vegas in 2017, holding down a two-year residency at Harrah's before moving over to Planet Hollywood.

    Good Show

by AMos on 9/1/21Caesars Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Their voices and harmonies are amazing. They are an extremely talented group of men. We attended the Matinee show, which didn’t even fill the front of the theater. Even though we enjoyed the show, it was the same songs from when we saw them years ago. They need to switch it up a bit. Throw in some Queen!

    Tenors...rocked most of it

by MNGal56502 on 2/24/20Sin City at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

I liked parts of it. I don't know if I can ever listen to AC/DC the same, as they made it more into a theatrical event instead of hard rock. It was okay, but I still liked the Raiding the Rock Vault show better. Worth seeing if you are looking for something with 80s rock music.

    Amazing and fun night!

by Mitch on 2/4/20Sin City at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

My family and I had an amazing experience at this concert!! We had a blast listening to the vocal wonders of the performers (they really were unbelievable) and chuckling at their whimsical expressions while also watching in wonder as the guitarist melted our faces. It was obvious to everyone that the performers were truly having a blast and enjoying themselves as much as we all were. I’d highly recommend for all ages!!

    Fun Show

by Vegas Girl on 1/21/20Sin City at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

The room is fairly small and our seats were okay. We couldn't see the drummer. The show was very, very good. These are Broadway guys singing rock and about 60% of the songs are ballads. Personally I would have preferred less ballads and more up on our feet rock n' roll, but still these are talented gents and well worth the money we spent.

    Great show

This was the 2nd time i saw the Tenors. They don't disappoint. The first time they were at Harrah's. I did like that theater better, however it didn't take away from their talent. Entertaining from the first note.

    Good, but once is enough

by 8ballEinstein. on 1/5/20Sin City at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

I thought they could've gotten by with just a trio or quartet of singers. Only during Bohemian Rhapsody and the Phantom of the opera song were when 5 tenors were needed. Plus, at times it seemed like they were competing with each other, rather than performing as a team. I felt the guitar player was too much into himself, trying to steal the thunder of the tenors. I did like his playing though. Also, this was a bit on the loud side - earplugs recommended. I was entertained by them but my recommendation would be to catch Raiding the Rock Vault instead.

    Just ok

by MKEAmy on 1/4/20Sin City at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

The guys are very talented and it is a fun show. However, it started early so we missed a song or two, not what you want to do when the show is 1.25 hours long. It says 1.5, but they ended early, too. You can carry drinks in but there is no bar. It is a small venue, not worth it to pay more for "closer" seats.
