About

Hall & Oates in Concert

Pop rock legends Hall & Oates blended R&B, soul, and new wave influences to fabulous effect in the '80s, resulting in some of the decade's most iconic and beloved songs. Oozing with originality and craftsmanship, No. 1 hits like "Maneater" and "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)" sound as fresh today as they did 30 years ago, eliciting collective swoons from audiences at their 2013 live concerts. With an induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, the boys have remained in peak form, treating audiences around the US to a string of highly anticipated concerts since then.

Fans who bought tickets say:

"Just another Hall & Oates show....FRIGGN AWESOME! Those guys blew it out like they always do. Can't wait for the next one."

"H & O are just as animated as they were 20 years ago! Exploding on the stage playing a great variety of fan favorites."

"Loved it all. 2 encores and ending with Private Eyes - AWESOME!!"

Hall & Oates Background

After meeting at Philadelphia's Temple University in the late '60s, Daryl Hall and John Oates left their respective bands and joined forces as a duo, releasing Whole Oats, their first record as Hall & Oates, in 1972. Following relatively moderate success in the '70s, the band hit their stride in 1980 with Voices, which contained their first No. 1 single "Kiss on My List." 1981 follow-up Private Eyes was an even bigger success, spawning two No. 1 singles and kicking off one of the most impressive chart runs of the '80s. Named the No. 1 duo of all time by Billboard Magazine, Hall & Oates continue to perform and record, making their much-deserved entry into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

    Great time!

by Linda on 10/23/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

It was my first time at the Nugget Event Center and what a wonderful venue. I could see the planes coming in to Reno as a back drop to the stage. The only issue I had was that as soon as I scanned my tickets for entry, I lost my AT&T cell service. I knew my seat row and section but couldn’t pull up my exact seats! The usher was wonderful and we can to a solution together. The person I was with has Consumers Cellular and didn’t have a problem. I will visit the venue any chance I get. Great time and great location being a local. 👏😀

    Daryl needs work

by Cannonball on 10/23/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

The music was fantastic and the band was really great. Somebody needs to tell Daryl Hall that if he recorded the songs the way he was singing them at the show, he wouldn’t be famous and nobody would want to go to the shows. Never again

Good, But super short! Come on, you gotta play past 8:45. I know you're old but put on a show so people get their money's worth!

The show was to short Daryl Hall phoned in his performance

    by W. s. on 10/23/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

The show was burly over an hour Daryl Hall gave little effort in singing. Both Hall And Oats walk off the stage leaving the rest of the band alone to take a bow after the show Bad Form I hoped for better

by SGeorgiou on 10/23/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Great venue! Hall and Oates played for an hour and 45 min. Daryl Hall was so happy and really seemed so happy to be there and happy to play music. The sax player was fantastic!

    Its ok.

by Scooby on 10/23/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

What we didnt like: The rows are too narrow. No room for an average size individual to walk by. Should keep the walkways clear, had to push through to get to the bathrooms. Sound was not good. Distorted. That May be the band though. Exits should have been clearly marked. I thought it was strange that the venue was surronded by apartments. Likes: Had enough port a potties to accomadate the amount of people. Ease of entering the venue. Plenty of concessions. More food choices would be nice.

    The GOOD Old days

by Juglide on 10/23/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

We lucked out and the weather was great for this outdoor event. They did about 1 1/2 hours and mixed some of their new music with a lot of their old music which was fine because I think that is what most everyone wanted. I started to wonder during the show how old theses guys are, well Hall is 76 and Oates is 74. I will be very happy if I'm able to do that when I'm that age. Very good concert !

    Awsome performance

    by A. B. on 10/23/22

I think people for get these guys are in their mid 70’s. Hall still has the vocal range oats still has the chops and vocals. Quality versus quantity. I think a show that’s over an hour long beats up Most half their age kudos that’s they are still going strong. Must see them while you can. Yes sound issues happen but all and all great performance. I’d go again.

by John M on 10/17/22Mark G Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Atlantic City

Venue was great, including the sound. The hits kept on coming (yeah!), but I would have also liked to hear their take on somebody else's material.

Poor Sound Quality: From the Venue and Hall's Voice

by Black Forest on 10/16/22Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

I am a long time fan of Hall and Oates and unfortunately the concert at Mohegan Sun in Ct was a big disappointment. The venue is excellent in terms of no bad seats since it is a smaller arena to view the stage. However, the sound engineering was the worst I have ever heard in any concert. Daryl Hall was noticeable angry and frustrated with this sound engineering as he repeatedly and I mean repeatedly tried to correct the sound issue throughout the entire concert including the FINALE! Add to the sound issues Daryl Hall unfortunately lowered his register so that he no longer hits the high notes in their songs. To me his blue-eyed soul with his high voice is what makes this duo special. The songs as sung became close to unrecognizable as was a true disappointment.

    Great venue

by KJ on 10/15/22Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

This was our first time in this arena and we will definitely be back. Very easy to get through security, scanning our tickets, and being seated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Exiting the event was well organized and we were able to snag a table at one of the many Mohegan Sun restaurants to end a great night out.

Hall and Oats at Mohegan Arena.

by Abbicakes on 10/15/22Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Show was scheduled for 7 pm start. Didn’t start until 715 There was no sound check before concert start. As a result Daryl had to stop playing 3or 4 times to get the sound correct. Sound volume was extremely loud.If it was at a12 level it shows have been set at a 7 level.People in row infront of us stood the entire concert. Made it hard to see stage .

    Just one complaint!

by JLL on 10/14/22Mark G Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Atlantic City

I loved that they played all of the classics!!! Show was great EXCEPT, our seats were on the left side facing the stage and Hall and Oates played forward the entire show. Now one acknowledgement of the people sitting on the sides of the stage. I paid for my tickets too, not cheap either and would have liked them to walk around a bit. Especially entertainers of their caliber should know to work the room.

    Much of a disappointment

by Cheesesteak on 10/14/22Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

My wife is a huge Hall and Oates fan and I also like the their music. So, we decided to plan a road trip to see them in CT, even though they were appearing in the Philly area. We had 4 great days traveling thru NY and CT before the concert. We got to the casino in plenty of time to grab a bit to eat and see the sites. We got to our seats and the anticipation was building. This is were things started to go down hill, the show started 30 minutes late (nothing uncommon). After 60 minutes they said "thanks for coming out and have a good night. WHAT!!!! Well they did come back out for 3 more songs. Between the start and the end, the sound was a big issue, not only for the crowd but for Hall also. I counted at least 5 times he stopped to complain about it to his sound guy. It was apparent Hall was very agitated. I know he's getting older and it shows when he tries for the high notes, but I can understand that. However, COME ON MAN, a 90 minute concert at the price you're charging? The next time we want to hear Hall and Oates, we'll search out a good cover band.

the sound guy should be fired

by frustrated on 10/13/22Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

They were fun. lots of energy, but had trouble hearing them. The sound was so loud that I couldn't hear the words most of the time and had to put tissue in my ears to tolerate the sound
