My daughter and I went to see the Lion King when she was 15. She's been wanting to see it again. She is now 35 and I bought us tickets. It surpassed our expectations. We were in the front row so we were able to see all of the animals come up to the stage.⅚ Watching how the performers made each step while moving the animals was a show in itself. The bongo players and the Orchestra added an extra depth. We would have gone again if we were able. My daughter knew the words to every song. This is a production that should not be missed.
We enjoyed the GREAT performance of The Lion King!
The cast was so talented! The costumes were so creative and amazing. You become immersed in Africa, accompanied by birds, giraffes, cheetahs, wildebeest, lions and so much more. The music was lovely as expected. The dancers were very graceful. The musical beautifully followed the Disney original. It was such a wonderful show, and we enjoyed it so much that we hope to see it again in the future! It’s definitely a must see!
show was awesome….great stage set/presence, singing & dancing were great, good use of special effects & lighting! terrific use of the “animals” which was unique. absolutely love taking in shows at this theatre! only complaint, if you can call it that, bit warm in the theater, should’ve turned on a/c…..
The show was amazing as always. I have seen this show four times now. The cast was outstanding. Music wonderful. The microphones on cast could have been louder. Drowned out by music some time and hard to understand. I liked the warning to be there 30 min ahead of time so as not to miss the opening act. Still people milling around not seated at exact show time. Took my 2 grandsons for their 1st and 3rd Broadway show and they were just awe struck the entire time. They will always remember, The Lion King.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed by this performance. The story line had a few turns that were not expected. While I enjoyed the original music that was performed, the new songs were really hard to hear and understand. The sound for the entire performance was spotty at best. The other disturbing thing was that we paid over $150 for our seats on the main floor and could see nothing that was happening on the right side of the theater. A lot of performance was done right on that curtain line blocking our view.
Amazing Show and Performance. Highly recommend to see
Wonderful show. Just as good as when we saw it 12 years ago.
The "puppets"are amazing and their puppeteers seem to disappear even when totally visible. Fantastic play for children/adults of all ages, my autistic grandson loved it. Do not miss this production.
