Ticket buyers will likely never guess that Santa Cruz-born Lorin Ashton, better known as Bassnectar, grew up influenced by rock heavyweights like Megadeth and Metallica and grunge pioneers Nirvana. An interest in ambient acts like Orbital may be less surprising. The electronic music guru—both a DJ and a producer—now delivers electrifying, bass-heavy concerts (hence the name) that typically feature creative remixed tributes like "Seek and Destroy (Bassnectar Remix)" alongside laser light shows that awe tour and festival attendees. Many Bassnectar creations also meld socio-political statements from personalities like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Noam Chomsky into the electronic grooves.
Though he's made more than a dozen free downloadable mixtapes available at his website since 1999, Bassnectar has also unleashed several full-length albums, including a couple more recent releases on his own label, Amorphous Music. The 2012 release "Vava Voom" features a collaboration with Lupe Fiasco on the title track, as well as "Pennywise Tribute," a remix of Pennywise's own single, "Bro Hymn (Tribute)."

Unique venue with good acoustics! Enjoyed the show with around 2k people. Much preferred over the big arenas. Being underground at Times Square during nye was something I never imagined.
Had an absolute amazing time surrounded by amazing people, the event staff was Prestine and kind with no issues. Highly recommend booking!
It was a struggle to actually get to the venue, but that's to be expected due to the time and location. The people directing concert-goers to checkpoints were very helpful. Staff inside was great too. Lights, sound, and mixing were on par with what's expected from a Bassnectar show. Can't wait for the next one.

The return of the Nectar! Amazing show. Despite the location. (Times Square on New Years Eve) it wasn't too difficult to get in and out. Bars and bathrooms weren't too crowded. Easy to find a good spot on the floor.
Absolutely amazing! The venue was so intimate, and the fam vibes were he best! Everything was easy to navigate, it was a perfect weekend! The only issue was NYPD giving us hassle about crossing the street to the venue even despite the email we were sent, otherwise this nye was the best I’ve encountered and I CANNOT WAIT for the other events! Pls pls keep em coming! ❤️❤️
First off the venue was beautiful and for as small as capacity was, there was still room to walk around/wander. They gave us plenty of time to mingle with old and new friends! Sound was a little off night 1 but night 2 was absolutely flawless! Bassnectar puts on the best show there is! I’ve never felt this way at any other concert I’ve been to. Rap/rock/metal nothing and I mean NOTHING comes close. Remember we are a Community and we are Bassnectar!
What an awesome venue, even more amazing getting to see Lorin in such an intimate space. Great crowd, great vibes, great show!
The title says it all! My friends and I have an absolutely amazing 2 nights at the Palladium in Times Square for the NYE throw down… and I mean it when I say it was a THROW DOWN. I cannot recommend Bassnectar enough! The best music and openers (special mention to UHNK 🤯) and the best people. If you have the chance to make it to a show, you definitely don’t want to miss it! WE BACK baby!
Bassnectar puts on a show like no other and his new years shows were some of my favorite sets out of about 50……. Lots of people are very excited about this comeback and really hopeful there are many more shows to come
