Ace Frehley Live in Concert
Born Paul Daniel "Ace" Frehley in Bronx, New York, Ace Frehley started playing the guitar at 13. He never went to a music school, nor did he ever take a guitar lesson since every member of his family played instruments. He spent the early '70s in a series of local bands. In 1973, he co-founded the American rock band KISS. He departed the band in 1982 and went on to lead a successful solo career. His 1978 solo output -- KISS: Ace Frehley (released as part of the KISS solo albums) -- went platinum. In 1984, he assembled, amongst others, drummer Anton Fig and bassist John Regan to form a group with a name that alternated between Ace Frehley and Frehley's Comet. This group recorded a series of demos throughout 1984 and 1985, and performed their first-ever live show at S.I.R. Studios in New York City on November 30, 1984. In 1987 he released Frehley's Comet and it charted on the Billboard 200. He subsequently returned to KISS in 1996 for a highly successful reunion tour. In 2004, he tied with Paul Stanley at No. 14 on Guitar World's list of the 100 Greatests Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time. Frehley's influences include artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Albert Lee, among others. In 2014, Frehley, along with the original members of KISS, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His 2020 solo album Origins, Vol. 2, charted on the Billboard 200.
The venue was fantastic and Ace Frehley was amazing!!
Very poor show & performance by Ace Frehley Sound board terrible, music quality was terrible. Constant feed back. ACE seem intoxicated. BOOO.
Good show, great venue. Ace is a legend, plays fantastic still. Backing band was great. Opening act was ok.
,The venue was great, the sound was great, the staff was kind , the entire crowd stood for the wholeshow!! Really was one of the best shows ever!! Ace was everything I had hoped to share with my guests, passing on good rock to my sons., he took his time to visit with a friend that is terminaly I'll, Thanks Ace, you made his year!!
Ace and his band rocked the Brown County Music Center, HARD. The sound quality was very good and there was no shortage of volume and energy. Ace played a KISS heavy set and the crowd loved hearing their old favorites. His band is versatile, instrumentally and vocally, as each other member took turns singing various songs which were all more than satisfactory. There isn’t a bad seat in the house at the BCMC !
Ace was in good spirits and sounded great-was enthusiastic and appreciative of the energetic (.if not capacity) crowd. Second time seeing him as a solo artist and hope to have another chance.
Even though his body movements are slow and make him hard play guitar and sing at the same time, the show is pure Rock and Roll. No playback, no supporting tracks, pure feeling!!
If you attend a show at The Brown County Music Center in Nashville Indiana you will love it, not a bad seat in the place. Ace Frehley was absolutely amazing, a true Rock and Roll legend.
First time seeing Ace live and he absolutely killed it. Melted my face several times throughout the show. Definitely would go see him again after my scars heal 😆
My husband and I really enjoyed the show. He's a huge KISS fan so we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Ace Frehley this close to home. The show was great, filled with interesting stories and great songs that kept a fun and steady pace throughout the concert. Ace openly admitted that he couldn't do the shows without the help of his band mates and that was clear since they sang lead on several of the songs. Overall it was a great concert and I am glad we went.
