British Comedic Legend
Balboa Theatre - San Diego
Mr. Cleese never seemed phased. I punch-lines were good belly-laughs. He never held back his thoughts about life. I enjoyed his video clips of his time in Monty Python and scenes from the movie "A Fish Called Wanda."I'm glad I got to see him while he's alive and well. Thank you.

Loved it. BUT....
City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim
We loved it for the most part. John was great. We attended the Gove of Anaheim show. The projector had technical difficulties which was a bummer. We had never been to the Grove of Anaheim for a show before. The chairs in the venue were so close together. A larger lady sat next to my fiance and because the chairs were arranged touching she was crowding my fiance. Very uncomfortable. We enjoyed John's talk but he got off the subject a few times. We did learn a lot about the making of the movie and other projects. So overall it was the venue that was a bit lacking. If you are a fan by all means go.

Boring/Long
City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim
Was unaware there would be an hour and a half long cheesy boring movie. I thought I was going to a stand up show

Loved John and the Pythons
City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim
Had a rip roaring fine watching The Holy Grail and listening to John reminisce with his daughter! Even my wife had a great time (and she usually thinks the Pythons are very silly people...). Thank you, Sir Cheese!

Great performance, needs better seating
City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim
John Clease was great! So funny and learned a lot about the film, history, and the actors. Only thing not that great was the seating at the grove. Super tight and uncomfortable.

Great Seeing John Cleese but VIP package was Horrible
City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim
The movie was great as usual since it is Monty Python and the session with John Cleese after the movie was great. The Grove Of Anaheim was less than stellar for their VIP treatment. One bartender who was so slow we ended going to the lobby to get drinks and made it back before the line even moved in the VIP area. The food selection was poor as well as the limited stale food items. Don't waste your time on the Crystal Lounge and their VIP. Even the projector had issues when showing the movie. I mean come on.

Awesome show, terrible seating, lots and lots of staff
City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim
Loved seeing a comedy legend and his "Sabre-toothed Daughter"live. Screening was nerdy fun. The seating however was awful. We were packed in on hotel banquet hall style chairs that were zip-tied together. I kept elbowing the poor lady next to me as we were both trying to stay comfortable. Sitting for 3 hours like that was like being in the middle seat on an airplane. Claustrophobic and tiring. Maybe sell fewer tickets and give the zip tied rows a rest. The staff were everywhere before the show, constantly cutting back and fourth through the line of people waiting for drinks in the reception area, milling around the lobby, etc. Maybe they were trying to look busy, but it was annoying to see that much staff wandering around such a small venue.

John is amazing
City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim
Highlight was meeting Mr. Cleese for sure! Movie was not synced properly, but that made it funnier. Question and answer portion was fun, my only gripe is it was so late. Starting earlier would have been more enjoyable for me

Great show, venue was ok..
City National Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim
Loved the John Cleese show! Great to see him and hear his stories. The venue at the grove was nice, but expensive. 25$ to park, 30$ for a “double” drink which is smaller than solo cup. Chairs are individual and not very comfortable. Squished in with others. Not stadium seating. Staff very helpful and friendly. Overall, glad we went.
