About

It has been more than ten years since Celtic Woman first captured America's imagination with its self-titled first public television special.  That historic concert performance launched a genuine cultural phenomenon, introducing millions of new fans to the group's fresh fusion of traditional Irish music, contemporary studio craft and state-of-the-art stage production.

Since then, Celtic Woman's evocative, uplifting music has touched the hearts of a devoted audience that spans the globe.  In addition releasing CDs and DVDs that have become multi-platinum best-sellers, the group has continued to perform in front of capacity crowds on a series of sold-out concert tours.

Having been named Billboard magazine's World Albums Artist of the Year six times, Celtic Woman is a one-of-a-kind musical entity that showcases four gifted young Irish women: three world-class vocalists and a brilliant Celtic violinist, whose talent and charisma help to bring centuries of musical and cultural tradition to vibrant life in the group's recordings and concert performances.

    Celtic Women Updated Version

by Irish Music Lover on 5/20/24Silver Legacy Casino Reno - Reno

As a big fan from the early 2000’s, I have loved their music from the first time I heard it. As they say, the original group was a hard act to follow. I had hoped to hear many of the group’s original Celtic songs & was disappointed. Even though this new updated version of the group is very talented, and the musicians & dancers are top-notch…. the magic of the original songs and sound is not there. I bought 4 tickets for family to celebrate a birthday; had high hopes to hear the magic again but it wasn’t there. The family reviews were “great, nice, enjoyable”. But there were no outstanding responses, no “fantastic, super, or incredible” reviews. Oh well, things change and the original group members moved on. I was glad I went but would not necessarily recommend it again.

    Fab show, crummy venue

by Marian on 5/20/24Silver Legacy Casino Reno - Reno

Loved every minute of the show! Great music, high energy and beautiful costumes. The bagpipes and clog dancing were unexpected treats! The venue, at the Silver Legacy, left much to be desired. Parking was a nightmare both coming and leaving. The seating was on a flat floor which made it difficult to see the entire stage and performers. Also, signage in the casino guiding to the event was minimal and confusing. Although we thoroughly enjoyed the show I would not return to that venue. Even an athletic seating venue would have been better.

    Awesome Time

by The Irish Gunny on 5/20/24Silver Legacy Casino Reno - Reno

Awesome Time, the music was fantastic, the atmosphere was lively, the whole experience was just fantastic. My only negative comment would be that the stage of the venue was to small for what the performers needed and were trying to do. Most of the night when the performers were together as dancing couples, 1 out of the 3 was never able to really perform the routine because the stage was too small.

    Amazing

by NVDenise on 5/20/24Silver Legacy Casino Reno - Reno

I have watched Celtic Women on PBS for years & this show did not disappoint. The variety of song, dance, & instruments was so wonderful. I was never bored. The show was just the right length. I hope they will return to Reno very soon.

    Poor sound engineer

by Mike on 5/19/24Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

The instrumentals overpowered the voices of the singers. The piano player was especially too loud. We couldn’t hear the women singing. Sound engineer did a lousy job. Also we had center mezz row c seats and were blinded by a row of bright LEDs behind the center stage. Not the nearly the best presentation on the ladies weren’t three times now. Disappointed.

    Snoozefest!!

by .Rachel.in.the.208 on 5/19/24Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

I can’t believe I paid good money to see this! I expected so much more for the 20th anniversary show … I got something you would find off the main strip in Gatlinburg, TN It was so boring and lackluster. Sure, I expected them to sing “Danny Boy” and even “You Raise Me Up.” … but that was pretty much the tone of the whole show given a few (and I mean few) upbeat numbers and a dance off. Even my 74 year old mom whispered to during the show and said “ Doesn’t this remind you of Lawrence Welk? … Ha!Ha! It did! But I could have seen that on PBS for free! I have never been so disappointed!

    Good singers!

by Woombape on 5/18/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

It was good singers and musicians but stage staging, lighting and sound was terrible. I never seen like this concert before. They need be something changes. It was like high school talent show.

    Excellent show

by Bob on 5/18/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

High energy and lovely songs. It’s like being serenaded by angels. The only upgrade is there should be an announcement not to use phones during the concert. A few people were recording the show and even one of the ushers sat down to watched and started using her phone.

    Excellent experience.

    by G.L.M. on 5/18/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Had a great time and the show was well worth the money. I discovered Celtic Woman 14 or 15 years ago and it has been a joy to watch the evolution of the performance. New talent in and former talent revisited. You are drawn and made to feel like part of the family. Highly recommend.

    Meh

by IanMc on 5/18/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Amazing voices. Too bad that the show was most, if not all, lip syncing. Seemed to be more about show and less about the music. The set was very unimpressive and flat. Seated in the mezzanine, the stage lights were aimed directly into our eyes most of the time. We won’t be rushing out to buy tickets to another show. Much better to watch on PBS. The Paramount theatre is very impressive and beautiful inside. Unfortunately the seats are so close together it’s impossible to sit comfortably. At 6’3’ my knees were hanging over the seat in front.
