We really enjoyed Cinderella. This is a well directed and well executed play.
I’ve seen several shows at the Saenger but this was my Katie’s first. To see excitement and joy through the eyes of my granddaughter was priceless. She thanked me the complete show. Absolutely loved everything about it. Although next time she would like to be closer. Promised her another date night at the Saenger. Her pick, Dear Hansen. So another trip and hope to get closer for her benefit. Thank you for making a well deserved granddaughter’s Night.
tje Cast was incredibly energetic and authentic the dancing was amazing, and the laughs were heartfelt. I absolutely recommend it for kids ages 1-99!
Loved this production ! I enjoyed this as a child and this did not disappoint ! All was wonderful and magical . Great set , costumes , actors , singing and music . And I love the Saenger theater also !
I was expecting the timeless version of Cinderella; however, this was not the case. I was confused at times as to the sequence of events and things that occurred not included in the classic tale. It was okay. Do not attend expecting to see the real version of Cinderella.
4 year old granddaughter loved it. Enjoyed the music and costumes.
I did not like that the story was changed. I do not need a political opinion in Cinderella! It would have been better to just stick to the story.
We were thrilled with the Saenger Cinderella production! Costumes and quick changes for Cinderella and Marie were unbelievable! Encourage anyone to enjoy a return trip to your childhood Cinderella!!!
Overall, the production was outstanding. I actually enjoyed the more laid back dialogue not to mention the extreme talent of the actors. The only I thing I thought was unnecessary were the handful of political jabs. We see it enough in every aspect of our lives, it’s not warranted in a broadway production of a fairy tale.
Of course I'm stuck on Disney's version, so veering from that story puts me off a tad. Throwing politics in it was ridiculous (EVERYONE GETS TO VOTE scene). Not as sparkly, glitz and glam as I would have like to see in a Cinderella story. Some of the songs were a bit dead and not catchy. But the acting was really good
I took my daughter to the show, we loved it! Such great costumes and dancing. Thanks for a great night!
This play was absolutely whimsical. I was captivated the entire time throughout the songs, costume changes and expressions. The scene changes flowed so well and I was constantly entertained. Cinderella sounded amazing. Watching this story told by this cast made me believe in love again. My favorite was watching Cinderella complete these almost impossible outfit changes in a second flat. Wow.
This was the first time my wife and I had ever been to a play and it won't be the last. The cast of this production were spot on and very entertaining. The Fox Theater was a spectacle all its own with its design and artwork.
I never have seen a broadway show and Im that person who thought they were dumb. I’m that big burly guy you see with tattoos who would never go to a show. Well tell you what. I wish the show was longer because I never wanted it to end. It had me from the start. It was watching a movie and a hr seemed like 10 minutes. Can’t wait for the show to come back to Detroit because I will be front and center again.
The music was a little boring and the sound was disappointing, but the acting was great. We were all amazed when Cinderella changed her dress right before our eyes. We are still talking about how that was possible.
I loved the twist on the Musical and the performers did an amazing job! Everything was well put together and the costume changes were definitely something you’d have to see to believe!
I enjoyed the play. I did however expect familiar songs. I didn’t realize this was not a Disney production.
Beautiful costumes, crystal clear sound, and a nice twist to the Cinderella story....very child friendly Two Thumbs Up !!
The speakers where very low and I was only ten rows back and I could barley hear it. There was really cool acts.
Our seats were great with the exception of being right in front of the entrance/exit of the orchestra pit and the speakers. It was wonderful to watch the show and see the expressions of the cast. It would have been nice to know that we would “feel” in the way of them getting in and out. Some of them were polite about it, but we felt that we were in their way.
