Rodney Carrington on Tour
One of America's most popular comedians and an actor and author to boot, Rodney Carrington shows just what kind of good times can happen when country meets comedy.
Since the breakthrough success of his first major-label release Hangin' with Rodney in 1998, Carrington has been a favorite of audiences all over the world thanks to his enjoyably raucous take on the best things in life, starting with whatever's in the bottle in front of him. With signature songs like "Just One Beer," "Wish She Would Have Left Quicker" and "Put Your Clothes Back On," he proves that some jokes just go better when combined with the twang and swagger of a country tune.
In addition to being one of America's Top 10 highest-grossing comedians, Carrington headlined his own ABC sitcom with Rodney and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses. In 2017, his special Here Comes The Truth brought his blue-collar brand of stand-up and musical comedy to Netflix. His 2020 tour of venues across the U.S. and Canada follows the release of his latest album, Get Em Out, which hit No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart.
Rodney Carrington Background
Rodney Carrington has been providing proudly blue-collar audiences something to laugh about ever since his earliest days as a performer at local venues and on radio shows in his native Texas in the ‘90s.
After years of touring nationally, Carrington's breakthrough came with the 1998 release of Hangin' With Rodney, a CD that introduced listeners to the combination of comedy and country music that fast became his trademark. In 2000, he scored his first Top 20 album on Billboard's country chart with Morning Wood, an equally raucous collection that included such fan favorites as "A Dozen Roses" and "Older Women."
Along with earning platinum sales as a recording artist, Carrington's achievements include starring in the ABC sitcom Rodney (2004-2006) and co-writing and co-starring with superstar Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses (2008). In 2007, he made the jump to the publishing world with his first book, Coming Clean. His Netflix special Here Comes the Truth debuted in 2017. Get Em Out, his eighth comedy album, was released in 2019.
Love seeing Rodney! He never disappoints if you ask me! I’ve seen him 8 times and exh show is full of fun and Leigh’s!
A very good show, and one of his best performances
Always funny and always relatable! We loved he shared his thoughts on Toby Keith’s passing- such fans of both of them!
Show was over the.top funny!! I've always wanted to see him live and was well worth it.
His skits were so great! He cracks these country folks UP , we can all relate to him. A little disappointed he didn't come out n party afterwards like he said!
My husband and I had the best time. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Given the chance we will go see him again.
We went with another couple and we laughed until our sides hurt. Worth the money!!
Seats were folding chairs that did not allow enough room next to each other. I was leaning forward the whole show so that I wasn't rubbing arms and shoulders with the lady next to me.
Rodney was hilarious from the time he stepped on stage till the time he said goodnight. The venue was great, not a bad seat in the house
I laughed so hard I cried! Rodney never disappoints! He’s raunchy, but oh so funny! If you’re in need of some good comedy, he’s it!
Laughs from beginning till the end! Great night of comedy at the Beau Rivage!
Great seats, had blast. Rodney is always hilarious.
Never stopped laughing the entire show! One of the funniest comedians! I seen him for the first time over 20 years ago. He is still my favorite!!!
I am 31 and this was right up my alley. Hilarious. And totally relatable to real life! Will be booking another Rodney show when he’s nearby again!
Vulgariously honest. Masterful tribute to human nature. Hilarious
Matt & Rodney were great! The three Hookers arguing on 2nd & 3rd rows were talking over Rodney. Beau Rivage did nothing but tell them to calm down! Rodney stopped the show! Not good!
He was very funny at first then he got extremely raunchy and just kept going deeper. By that point there wasn’t much laughter from the audience. He has a nice voice, but again very dirty! Sorry I wasted my time and money!
what a funny evening. The person that I was with and myself laughed the entire time. The opening act??? what was his name? His opening line about Yellowstone was off the chart. Tell that youngster Matt it was great and I will see you in Bakersfield.
Oh my gosh we LOVE him!!!! Rodney Carrington is fantastic as always!!! He’s hysterical every time!!!!
Rodney was great! We rolled laughing the ENTIRE show. The ONLY complaint I have was the registration email said to download your tickets to AppleWallet and I did this prior to the show. Well on arrival, the line was very long because the door entry staff wanted the barcode for TicketMaster. The internet WIFI connection was very weak so it took me about 12 minutes to get the tickets up by TicketMaster. Maybe the email system needs to be updated.
