The Price Is Right Live on Tour
Seeing The Price Is Right Live is a little bit like being reunited with a childhood friend. Anyone who grew up anywhere near a TV from the early 1970s onward probably has the classic game show embedded forever in their consciousness; seeing it play out in front of you (and maybe even taking part) can be a thrillingly surreal experience. But it's much more than just a nostalgia trip. Whether you're a lifelong fan of the show or it's your first exposure to the whole concept, the stage version of The Price Is Right is an enormous amount of fun, with random audience members picked to compete for cash and prizes by playing challenges like Plinko, The Big Wheel and The Showcase. If you're among the lucky attendees who get the famous call to "Come on down!" you just might feel a little chill go up your spine. But even if you aren't, it's still a blast to be part of the whole thing as it happens.
About The Price Is Right Live
In 1972, a part of TV history began its journey with the premier of The Price Is Right on CBS. When contestants heeded host Bob Barker's iconic call to "Come on down!" and take part in what has become one of America's most beloved game shows, a legacy started that would last for decades to come. The Price Is Right is one of the most popular, longest-running TV shows ever, so it's not surprising that it spawned a stage version in 2002. When you attend The Price Is Right Live, you may not be on TV but you're still getting the full experience. Whether you're one of the randomly selected contestants or a spectator, you see the classic game played out before your eyes, as people do their best to guess prices in order to win cash and prizes.
I had a Great time...so much fun excitement and laughter, can't wait to go go again!
Didn’t get called on stage but I loved it had a lot of fun
Was really fun and lots of prizes!!! Lots of video footage of Bob Barker!!!!
We had seats in the 4th row and loved every minute of it. My friend's name was chosen to be a contestant and it was exciting although she was outbid by $1. Drats! Hope the Price is Right comes again to Rochester as we would go again! The theatre needs some updating, but they are beginning to work on it.
The show was fantastic, engaging, fun prizes and very enjoyable for most ages (18-99+). I highly recommend if you can go but NOT if it is at Landsdown TD place. Here are the reasons: The parking was a flat rate of $30, almost half our event ticket price, THIRTY DOLLARS. The venue it self has a very bare bones basic features like an arena in a small town and is very understaffed. The stairs were dangerously steep for our elderly family members with few railings and there was very very limited accessibility features. The rest rooms were also very dirty and the line for the womans rest room was 300 people deep at least, leaving many (many elderly) women with no restroom break during intermission. The place is a maze to get from underground parking with no signage or clear direction and when leaving it was pure chaos with cars going down one way paths, people driving through parking spots and trying to bully in right at the gate. The surrounding shops and stores only open during main events also so the place is a ghost town if you arrive early. Had the show not been overwhelmingly great the venue may have completely ruined our experience. Our family from out of town will not return to TD place for any event in the future and even though I am from the city and used to the typical financially predatory practices like THIRTY DOLLAR PARKING, or 18$ draft beer...I will also actively avoid and deter all persons I ever meet to never go to this nightmare venue. AVOID LANDSDOWN TD PLACE AT ALL COST. But the show was fantastic! Go see the live show anywhere else but at Landdown TD place.
I was very impressed with the price is right live stage show!
This was my first live event experience for The Price Is Right. The host was great and had lots of laughs. But I did notice that all the names called were not in any ethnic group. I'm not sure how the names were randomly picked where only Caucasian went down. I am a minority Asian and came with my family and friends who were black. And no one of any minority were called down even for the audience prizes. Our group attended both show day event Friday and Saturday. I think it was a bit disappointing on that factor.
Now I didn't expect the prizes to be that of the big U.S. production, but I also expected something better than a penny arcade from someones backyard. The Plinko board was a joke with the chips getting stuck 3 or 4 times. And the way the showcase played out was a very underwhelming as well. The best part had nothing to do with the production, and that was the interaction between one or the contestants and the host, who was quite good considering what he had to work with.
The show was really fun, you got caught up in the hype and cheered for all contestants. However if you’ve watched the show as I have since 1972, the format is a little different where they choose four contestants, one makes it on stage the other four given T-shirts and they go sit down. Also, it is not the contestants that make it up on stage that get to spin the big wheel, it is three random chosen people from the audience. I was a little thrown by the format, but still all in all it was a fun night out
Fantastic Experience.. would 100% recommend! Whether your new to the game or a life long lover.. everyone in the audience had a blast !
It exceeded my expectations. Extremely fun! Everyone in the crowd was having a good time and the host was very witty and funny.
Fun experience but requires better ventilation as it was smelly and the seats are tiny.
So much Fun the host was great very funny I loved how they included them audience to win prizes with the contestants
I think having the venue at that place should be retought as the chairs are horrible for people with back issues and there is no place to move. We moved like sardines even going to the washroom was a challenge Otherwise the show was very pleasant but if it goes back there I wouldn’t go only because of the chairs comfort and the lack of space to move
It was an amazing experience. Wish we were chosen to go up the stage. Found prizes were too small. Todd was an amazing host. Well organized.
Price is Right Live was so much fun! great night out with friends and fun to be involved
We no really enjoyed this show the host was awesome and very funny. I would definitely go again.
Too short. Not even 1.5 hours, you had to get there early and wait. You spent more time waiting than actually at the event itself.
It wasn’t what I expected g go or the price I paid to many people and so little prizes
Loved being an audience member!! Wishes were to be a contestant but maybe next year? Prices are steep - only bought at sale but one get one free. That would be the improvement for pricing
