This was a super fun night! The rapping, singing, dj and Orchestra were a perfect mix.
The act was phenomenal but the venue did a piss poor job of handling the audio. We couldn’t hear the orchestra which really diminished the entire experience. I will never attend another music event at this venue again. This particular act should hold an event at the Peoria Civic Center should they return to central Illinois.
My sister who knows a lot about music said it was good
I thought I was paying for a hip-hop orchestra, to sit a listen to all the beautiful instruments. What I got was bar/lounge karaoke performance. An amateur rapper and singer performing loudly over each and every single song, AND a DJ! They drowned out the sounds of the instruments the entire time. It was really hard to sit and listen to. False advertisement, not what I paid for. I left right after intermission once I determined the second half was going to be more of the same.
Thee Phantom and The Phoenix are great entertainers and put a fun and exciting show.
Thee Phantom & Illharmonic. Originally saw them on a segment of CBS Sunday Morning and shortly after the opportunity to see them here in Illinois presented itself. Orchestra comprised of all Illinois musicians. A great show, great music from Bach to Biggie. A super talented couple and I hope their exposure grows. If you get the chance, check them out - a different musical experience for sure!
This was a beautiful venue and a great show. Fantastic blend of hip/hop and orchestra!
It was our 2nd wedding anniversary and we decided to this show to celebrate. It was amazing and we really enjoyed it. We are so glad that we decided to go for our anniversary. The music and the performance were wonderful. I highly recommend and would definitely go again.
I had high hopes. But it seemed like the selections often didn't resonate in the way the band intended. Good songs but often just didn't quite meet the expectations that I had. It almost felt like the band leader or whoever chose their songlist chose the songs that they preferred and did not necessarily consider the songs that the orchestra would be able to make pop to the crowd. The concept is dope and I think with the right planning it could be much better.
