This is the guiding principle for TALK's life. The singer-songwriter is a mass of positive energy, colour and enthusiasm, bringing a smile to the face of everyone he connects with.
Born Nicholas Durocher and raised in Ottawa, Canada, TALK is a multi-instrumental wizard, trained in piano, guitar, drums, bass, banjo, harmonica and even the mandolin. Growing up with a director and cameraman for a father and a brother on Broadway, Durocher was built for the spotlight. In an era where many artists use mystery as a marketing tactic, TALK is in your face. He's eccentric, flashy and colourful. He'd rather make his own gold sequin cape than wear a designer outfit. As Durocher explains, "TALK is me saying ‘I don't care what anyone thinks, I'm going to be bright, beautiful and, most importantly, myself."
He's crafted a sound equally unique. Inspired by artists like Elton John, Freddie Mercury and Guns N Roses, TALK is a modern rockstar. He's bright and bold with a powerful voice. He writes, plays on and produces his own tracks, only bringing them to the studio for final touch ups - a rarity in today's pop music space.

TALK and his bandmates (musicians) are awesome and we’re not done seeing him. This was his first show in Montréal as the main event and as he promised, it was a heck of a party. The event sold out really quickly and new dates were added, which sold out too. The venue (Beanfield Theatre, aka Corona) was beautiful, great service and all, but we all realize that these types of venues are no longer big enough for his popularity. And people LOVE him, in Quebec.
Spectacular!!! So much energy and great voice! The guitarist is incredible! Would go again and again! Only wish he played more songs! Xo 🫶👏👏👏
Saw TALK at Boston Calling (2023) and loved them so much I saw them again (2024)! They are fantastic with their music and interaction with the crowd. They did 2 encores because they wanted to make sure everyone left having a great time! Would highly recommend seeing them at least once in your life.
Saw TALK in boston this past weekend and the show was absolutely amazing. He is such a funny and unique artist the whole thing was very entertaining and his band are some of the best musicians I’ve ever seen in concert before. After the show we waited around to try and meet him and he gave us a hug and talked to us and genuinely seemed interested in talking and connecting to all the fans that waited for him. Definitely won’t be missing any of his shows.
TALK is an amazing musician. His lyrics are poetic and listening to the fans sing along is a really moving experience. The guitarist rocks good and hard and the whole band seems like they love being up there together. His music brings together a beautiful community of diverse listeners. I’ll see TALK again and again!
TALK is an incredible performer and he's truly himself on stage. I hope he got his other croc back! He not only sounds great, but him just being himself makes you feel like you're with a good friend. Even with only a limited catalog of music, he was able to fill out a full concert setlist and even though her music wasn't really my thing, his opener, Zinadelphia was incredibly talented and had such a great voice. I will definitely be going to future TALK tours. I just hope they're able to get through their soundcheck with less delays so the pre-show VIP isn't so time constrained like it was.
Great show, venue up to in great shape, drinks still overpriced
This was my first show in New York! And it may have been my favorite of all time, TALK was amazing, he sang beautifully and his band was awesome! He made you feel like he was in a room with just you! The venue is gorgeous inside, it was small but I loved it. Everyone at the venue was amazing, very helpful!! The best part of any concert is when you wake up with no voice😂.
TALK sounds great in recording, and if possible, even greater live. They have an incredible energy and vibe, along with a fantastic rapport with the rest of their band members. I'm so glad I got to see them live. I can't wait for their tickets to start going for 100+, it'll be well-deserved.
