If Chris Cornell is considered one of the best rock singers of all time, then so should the lead singer of superunknown (Jason Reed). It was absolutely mind-blowing how accurately he covered Cornell, getting both the lows and highs. I had heard some songs on facebook in advance so I had some sense of what to expect. But my wife hadn't, and when she heard the first song her jaw dropped, she was blown away. And the band was super-tight, nailing the soundgarden sound so well. The drummer was rocking, and everyone was in sync. In the middle of "jesus christ pose" I nearly forgot I wasn't at a soundgarden show. (I didn't like the audioslave covers as much, but that's because I don't like audioslave nearly as much as soundgarden or temple of dog). I would absolutely see these guys again, as should any fan of Cornell, may he rest in peace.
