I saw John Fogarty after my hours at the fair. I got my planned shopping done: 2 thin wallets with zipper area and easy to fit cash and cards, those German shammy products which server a lot of great purposes (great for under pet food and table covers for kids), and I forget the third thing, but I found it. I was able to find a healthy sandwich, so food was fine. Had a great beer. I love the "food" designed from rocks in the mineral area. Enjoyed art. Found a number of interesting folks to talk to. There was great music everywhere including a discover that after close one venue keeps playing and that music was insane. Wonderful. I encourage the venue to extend that as all the people are in one spot and it separates the traffic flow. I like the plant. And the woodwork area had so many brilliant pieces. Glad to remember that so many people put their life into creating something wonderful. This is what I do not like about the operators: They just sell the same thing and put no effort into smart traffic flow for cars, entry, offramps, transportation. They treat the guests like cattle and turn the freeway into a mess. They do not own the freeway. They need to actually plan brilliant new ways to move traffic. Maybe spend money on their own ramps etc. Make the offsite transportation something people want to take instead of adding 3 hours to their parking event. Inside there is no thought of changing flow of people or building corridors. They route most walking traffic past a stadium which smashes all the walking traffic into a slow corridor. The but drop off are poorly planned. Exit traffic is a weird maze. 50 to 100 traffic "controllers" just wave forward with no care what happens to lost drivers. Even if you purchase premier parking, they will just direct you into the regular parking. They do not care. It is just a business to the operators. They have no interest in doing a great job. The operators had to be sued, and they lost, over their operation plans. We need a vendor that cares about the community.
