    History in the making

by orkkidz on 4/10/24WAMU Theater - Seattle

Red Bull Lords of the Floor blew this event away…it was so amazing. Every fine detail made this event that much crazier. Breakdancing Lords of the Floor is history in the making. The fact they brought it back to Seattle. From the best breakers to hosts to surprise guest Common. Loved the wooden drink tokens and I will treasure my tee forever. Love you guys!

    Real Hip-Hop

by DatActionBOSS on 4/9/24WAMU Theater - Seattle

Event was a night to remember! Paid homage to generations and generations of the Bboy / Bgirl Community! Overall dope setup! Need to work on VIP bleacher seat accountability though. Paid the extra $50 for each ticket and by the time we made it in from the line outside and line to checkin for VIP first 7 rows in my section were already filled. Still enjoyed every bit of the jam!

    Reminded me of home

    by NYCTerrence135thst on 4/9/24WAMU Theater - Seattle

As a kid that grew up in the middle of the BBoy/BGirl culture in NYC The Lord of the Floor was a fun flashback to my childhood. Rock Steady Crew and the NYC Breakers were fun to watch at the local block parties. I saw a large international presence at the event and I hope the events continue while not losing their roots and recognizing where and who started it.

    Awesome

by Peez on 4/9/24WAMU Theater - Seattle

I saw the flyer for lords of the floor walking from the ferry to a mariners game. I saw it was a dance battle and Jo Koy was one of the hosts so I scanned the QR code. I saw the ticket prices and figured it was very doable on such short notice (one week) and thought it would be a nice bucket list event. I hesitated to buy the tickets a few times and ended up buying one of the last VIP prices, which was the first 7 rows in the bleachers above the floor seats. That kinda didn't matter because it's kind of a small venue so any seat would have been a good view. I'm almost 40 and this was my first time seeing a break dance off outside of the preview of those movies; I didn't even see YouTube videos of it. It was literally people of all ages attending and performing. It was pretty awesome to see all this happening in person. I totally forgot Common was also attending and saw him perform, freestyle, and breakdance live! Mind. Blown. There was also food & drink being sold there but i didn't get anything. I feel like anyone who attends the Wamu theater will not be disappointed because it's kinda small.
