    Old rocker still has it

by PGmusic on 4/25/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

Lou's band was really good and faithfully created the music of Foreigner and solo songs. His voice was strong. However, due to his age, he does not move around a lot, especially as compared to Kelly Hansen, the current Foreigner front man who is much younger. They played most of their best stuff plus 1-2 solo songs. The only negative aspect was that the length was about 80 minutes. Over-all, thumbs up.

    Disappointed

    by Coastergirl510 on 4/24/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

My partner and I were both disappointed that Lou is no longer able to sing his songs with a better voice. We do realize he has had brain surgery which may be affecting his singing, and in that respect we did stay for the full concert. We just wish he was able to sing like he used to when he was younger. We loved that he did all of his old music, just wish it had sounded more like him! I guess we should have checked into his singing, which may have influenced whether we bought tickets or not! The concert was for a good cause, so we're glad we could help out in that respect!

    My experience with Lou

by Ann on 4/23/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

I was so excited to see him again! I saw Foreigner in the late 80's and absolutely loved them! Have their music on CD's. Without a doubt, He made the show! I really enjoyed being in Akron for the concert. I bought his book and really wanted for him to sign it. There were so many in that line. I would have been there till 2 am! His band was also terrific! They really complimented Lou.

    Lou Gramm Akron

    by Stealth1 on 4/23/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

He was much better than I expected. It was for charity. His voice was spot on and he was a class act. Signed items after the show. Glad Foreigner is in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I hope he doesn't retire like he says he is. Maybe him and Mick can mend some fences and take the band on the road. Crossing my fingers. Thanks for the show.

Intimate Setting With Top Notch Talent

by John D on 4/23/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

I hate to write a good review of the Goodyear Theatre. Not because it does not deserve it but because it is such a gem that I would love to keep it as mine all mine. Lou Gramm is just the latest of great concerts I have attended there and The Goodyear Theatre remains my favorite venue. Great sound system that is just right for the venue. Comfortable seats with ample room in front of you, beside you and behind you. I am a 225 lb guy and I do not feel cramped. Ample parking around the theatre without walking very far. Small and intimate yet attracts Rock and Roll Hall of Fame caliber performers. Lou Gramm performed many of his previous hits with Foreigner and his own hits as a solo performer. We saw him on the day that the announcement was made that Foreigner is one of the newest inductees into the Rock Hall this October but Lou didn't mention that at the show. He was warmed up and ready to rock with his all star band. He got better and better as the night progressed and he really seemed to enjoy the warm reception from the crowd. The crowd showed him their appreciation by getting to their feet, dancing in the aisles and singing along with him. I feel fortunate to have attended this performance. And the fact that this show was a benefit show for the Carson Strong Foundation to benefit families dealing with cancer only made it better.

    Great Show!

by Houndnurse on 4/23/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

My first time seeing Lou Gramm. I know he’s had a lot of issues, so I didn’t have high expectations, but he didn’t disappoint. Yes, he does struggle through some songs and isn’t able to hit the high notes, , but overall, it was a great show. I am just glad he is still able to do what he loves to do and I was able to see him since I didn’t get to see him in his prime. He has nothing to prove at this point, because we all know he’s one of the best vocalists and song writers out there. Thanks for a great evening Lou. Go see while you can.

    Awesomw Hit Show!

by The Musick Man on 4/23/24Goodyear Theater - Akron

This concert was far better to see than the current Foreigner band, that is nothing but a tribute band. Lou Gramm IS Foreigner! Every song in the show was a hit song, ALL of which originally sang and collaborated in writing! I would see Lou again, even though Foreigner is playing this summer in our are.
