La La Land In Concert: A Live-to-film Celebration was spectacular. There were fireworks. Some of the actors from the movie were live too, either singing or dancing. The acoustics were good, the lighting was fantastic. But, it was the general magic of the movie, music, and venue that made every penny count! Thank you so much for the show! I'm so glad La La Land has been so well received. I pray it continues to thrive.
This show was amazing. The pianist was incredible. There were some fun surprises, such as the actors and dancers performing live on stage.
Really enjoyed the evening. I have now seen the movie 17 times. I love the music, dancing and acting. I now have a DVD and will continue to watch it many more times. The orchestra was fabulous and I really loved the actual dancers from the movie performing on stage.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful event at the Hollywood Bowl when the music of La La Land was performed live with a complete orchestra conducted by Justin Hurwitz. The evening was magical as the musical score was accompanied by dancers and singers on stage during some of the songs. The orchestra included some of the musicians from the movie with remarkable performances from Randy Kerber on piano and Arturo Sandoval on trumpet. It was an evening we will never forget!
The music was not properly synced to the scenes on screen. It was very distracting. And there was a very large red laser dot on the screen after intermission. The fireworks were great, but overall, a very disappointing night given how much we spent on tickets...
Three of us decided to see the La La Land Live to Film Concert at the last minute and ended up getting seats that were not together. But we love the sound track so much we decided it would still be worth it and it totally was! This show was absolutely fabulous! The fireworks that punctuated special momements in the film were a delightful addition. This concert was up there with my top five Hollywood Bowl Concerts in my life; 1) The Beatles' second concert at the Bowl 2) Ray Charles 3) Pink Martini when they brought the Portland Marching Band 4) Savion Glover and 5) La La Land. As you might guess I am in my mid sixties and I have been to a lot of concerts over the years. Thanks for another unforgettable night at the Hollywood Bowl.
We thought the entire production was amazing. We did not know they would be showing the movie which added to the performance. We were totally in awe how the orchestra were able to follow the movie to a beat. Wonderful. We also were amazed at the piano player and his abilities. Truly amazing. The coordination with the fireworks, and light show with the movie was awesome.
I will admit I was not a huge fan of the movie when I saw it in theaters but watching it at the Bowl completely changed my mind. I love the whole thing. It's a must see!!

Great La La Land concert with live orchestra and big screen display of the whole movie. Beautiful projector effects, fireworks thru out. It was amazing seeing the live piano player matching Ryan Gosling fingers on the keyboard on the video screens. Also great to see some of the original cast from the film on the Hollywood Bowl stage along with the director Damian and that producer who corrected that Moonlight won the Oscar. Too bad Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone couldn't make it. A nice touch to have Gene Kelly's wife, Patricia Ward Kelly, introduce the concert. Need this concert at more SoCal venues like the Segestrom in Orange County. Also tell John Legend, Damian, and that producer they need a La La Land 2 sequel so Sebastian gets a new girl friend and then have a La La Land 2 concert with the new music and dancing.
