    High quality, obvious coordination.

Wished there was clearer signage as to where and when entrance to venue would occur. Appreciate assistance, patience with check in staff as only one ticket saved to wallet and I had to open email to get second ticket scanned. Disappointed some restrooms were locked after concert was over and everyone exited.

    Elementary show - complete chaos

    by Skyking92 on 1/27/24

Nothing has changed since review I saw written last year on 1/30/23. Ballroom with no stadium risers. Hundreds of people snaking a line through the hallway space and down the stairs cause doors not open until 12pm. Actually quite comical to watch play out and see how different people reacting to the line and setup.

    Elementary performance poorly executed

by imagn81 on 1/30/23Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

I had two kids participate in all state this year. My oldest was in the jazz concert. That concert went great! My youngest was in the elementary concert and that did not go well at all. It was hosted in the ballroom on the fourth floor which meant that everyone had to take the escalator or stairs to get there. The doors to the room were opened much later than expected so people were packed on to the escalator and stairs and were out of room to move. The escalator was shut off while a bunch of people were on it. Once we were allowed to sit in the ballroom, it was VERY WARM! Eventually, they worked to turn up the air conditioning and it improved. The concert started 20 min late and it was difficult to see some of the kids because there was no stadium seating (and too many parents were blocking the view with their phones high in the air trying to record the performance). Next year I would hope that there will be a lot more planning and preparation for the elementary kids and ideally it can be held in the theater rather than the ballroom.
