I’ve been to this event quite a few times before. This time I found it to be way too crowded. No place to relax and enjoy tasting the wine or the food. It was too busy at the wine samples to get the passport stamped. I was just really dissatisfied with the event this year. The atmosphere wasn’t good.
Excellent venue. Amazing food & wine. Liked this years souvenir wine glass & passport.
From the various wineries to the excellent appetizers the Nugget did an excellent job, see you next year!
I use a cane to get around & cannot stand for long periods of time. I was excited about this festival because it was supposed to be "under the stars", and the advertised picture showed tables & chairs for the guests. Unfortunately, they had to move it to the grand ballroom because of the weather. There were only high tables in the grand ballroom with no chairs on which to sit. I cannot stand for hours, so it proved to be difficult for me to enjoy it. I think that accommodations should have been made for people are physically challenged - a few tables with chairs would have been helpful.
I was disappointed that this event took place indoor instead of outdoor as advertised. The weather was perfect to be held outdoors. I felt it was crowded indoor and had to wait in line for a buffet style sampling of charcuterie’s. Not enough high top tables set up, we had to walk around holding our wine and plates to find a ledge to set down our wine to be able to eat. Overall it was expensive for the minimal and underwhelming experience.
This event was completely worth it! Really hope they do it again cause we can’t wait to go back
