Most fun show in a while!

by Aaajax on 10/22/15Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

Such an enjoyable show. Everyone had so much energy and I love how all the differnt songs just meshed together. Definitely would recommend people see them live. Also the change to a way better venue was a bonus.

    Kill me, FFS is magnificent.

by Ughjusttakethisname on 10/19/15Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Ungh. I was in the pit, screaming and dancing and wishing the night would never end. This band is the equivalent of the best pizza in the world. This band could start a war for oil and even the environmentalists would support them. This band could probably get away with murder, if it wanted to. So, yeah. FFS. Love 'em.

Franz Ferdinand + Sparks = GREAT!

by DBPeters on 10/18/15Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

FFS was a high energy and incredibly fun ride through a unique collaboration, the deep catalog of Sparks decades long career and some of the pop gems Franz Ferdinand have unleashed on the world. You'd never know this was two separate musical entities. They worked together like they had been a cohesive unit for years. Ronald Mael held up his end by keeping a deadpan gaze looking straight ahead, playing his keyboards like he was typing a report. It was the last night of the tour. We were secretly hoping they'd announce they were going back into the studio for a second album and would tour again. (there's always hope)

    FFS

by Goedeck on 10/18/15Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Really fun show. Russel and Alex interaction good. They played some FF favorites plus Sparks classic This Town Ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us.Paul came out when the Intelligence were on to lend some drumming. Some of the Franz guys were involved the crowd to watch openers.

    FFS rocks the Wiltern

by Maelman on 10/16/15Hollywood Palladium - Hollywood

Venerable ground-breaking bands Sparks and Franz Ferdinand came together to form FFS, record 2015's best and most forward-sounding album, and to tour Europe and North America. Tuesday's show at the packed Wiltern (moved from the Palladium) exceeded even the most faithful fan's expectations. Seldom are so many smiling faces seen -- onstage and in the audience. The combined band plays seamlessly and energetically together, roaring through songs from the new album as well as a sprinkling of songs from each of the Sparks and FF catalogs with equal aplomb and enthusiasm. Their new collaboration and self-titled debut album, FFS, perfectly embodies each band’s sound, while being something completely unique in its own right. And that goes for their performance as well. They were one and the fans were right there with them.

    Excellent

by Katata on 10/9/15Terminal 5 - New York

People who complain about T5 need to find better places to stand. I thought they were great. Lots of FFS, three FF songs, and at least one Sparks song. Would love to go again.

Franz Ferdinand and Sparks were amazing

by UptheDownEscaltor on 10/9/15Terminal 5 - New York

Franz Ferdinand and Sparks shared the stage to perform songs from not only the FFS album but also with their individual bands. It was clear that not only they enjoyed the work they did together but the individual songs were shared and their enjoyment was so apparent it bled into the audience. The crowd of a mix of old and young were dancing and clapping the night away. A great night for all involved.

FFS is a band deeper than Franz Ferdinand and Sparks separate, yet surprisingly approachable. Their music is something like The Killers meets Arcade Fire meets New Order. Most of their repertoire comes from their new record, but they managed to play a few hits from their respective groups (their new material is far more interesting, if you ask me).
