Drury Lane Theatre Presents: South Pacific Tickets

Though my wife knew this play from seeing the movie many times in the past, I'll admit that I only had a tangential grasp of the content. We had front-row seats: downtown, these would've cost triple the cost we paid. We have never been disappointed with productions at Drury Lane -- either in Oak Brook or Lincolnshire. The free parking so close to both venues is a major bonus. As for this production, we were impressed with the acting and the singing. The story still resonates with a certain relevance -- especially in this polarizing time of racial divisiveness.

Wonderful dinner Wonderful show! Acting superb! Only complaint is getting out of theatre after show- too slow!!! And long line to women's bathroom at intermission!

The cast was amazing, from the main characters to the supporting actors and dancers. Each seemed to bring their talent to the role they played, The orchestra was wonderful and the scenery very true to original. Drury Lane puts on the best shows in the area and that includes the downtown Chicago theaters. I have been going to the Drury Lane for more than 40 years from the Evergreen Park location to. its current, and will continue to do so. I do love the musicals better than dramas but they do both wonderfully.

The cast did a great job of engaging the audience. The music was fantastic, great acoustics. No bad seats. Only negative, towards end of the play a few cast members sat near the edge of the stage and blocked the view for two of the songs... might figure out how to solve that. The venue as so nice, loved the lounge area. I recommend getting there early to enjoy a lite snack and beverage. Next time we will have dinner!!! Lovely afternoon/evening!! If it rains, use the valet service! Wish we had.

What a wonderful presentation of a classic show! The venue is quaint - not a bad seat in the house.

The Singing was absolutely great and the performance overall was great. Loved it and have already recommended it to friends.

The voices and orchestra were amazing,It was emotional, moving and tender.

South Pacific was so great. The actress playing Nellie was phenomenal and I would go just to see her again. (Every actor in this play was amazing, she just stands out the most!) The set was also incredibly beautiful. They did an amazing job preparing for this!

South Pacific at Drury Lane is a must see! Performance was great and you can't beat the venue- easy to get to and park at, great seating.

The production of South Pacific was a wonderful surprise. I remember hearing the recording when I was young so I knew the story....or so I thought. From beginning to end the actors and musicians tugged at my heart...even choked up a bit. It was so much better than the movie. The settings were in place for each part of the story. And the sound engineers deserve a round of applause for the voice and song and music quality. All around this was the best show I've seen at Drury Lane.
