If I could give 7 stars, I would!

by Torey on 3/19/24The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston - Houston

I've seen several burlesque shows in Houston, and this one takes the cake. Spend your money on a VIP seat! You won't regret it!

The dancing and show was amazing! The house of blues was also nice and provided security bar service and food.

    Outstanding Show!

by Rebecca on 2/6/24House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

This was our first burlesque show. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The show as well as the experience was outstanding! The performers were skillful in their artform and it was a beautiful show. The MC was hilarious and beautiful.

The new Holiday costumes are great. The MC sang a very nice BB King classic! Don’t miss the next show!

Disorganized site team leads to a frustrating show.

by KA on 11/21/23The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston - Houston

Purchased GASeat but no one was there to confirm you had booked it so GA was sitting in the chairs. I assumed it would be Caberet or comedy club style seating (with someone escorting you and confirming your ticket, but no). The 45 min intermission during a 2 hour and 15 min show seemed irrational as well. Does not make me want to return. Actual Burlesque dancers were good, so this part of the experience definitely brings it down.

    Disappointed

by Anonymous on 11/21/23The Bronze Peacock at House of Blues Houston - Houston

Having been a fan of the moonlight dolls' performances at Prohibition, my wife and I were excited to see Emma Vauxdevil return to Houston. We figured, being at House of Blues, this would be a well organized event, expecting even better than what we've seen in the past. We arrived about 5 to 10 minutes after the doors open, finding that almost every seat in the house was already taken. We quickly grabbed one of the last VIP tables. After a few minutes of seeing only one waitress serving the entire room, we grabbed watered down drinks at the bar. I will state that the bar staff was friendly and engaging. We spent the next hour listening to a handful of songs play on repeat and overhearing many other people coming in and complaining that their reserved section was full and their guaranteed seats were not available. There was no host at the door to help people locate where they should be. The seats were laid out in a way that if you came as a couple, you likely were not going to be sitting right next your date. The group in front of us took it upon themselves to grab whatever chairs they could find and bring them up to the very front row. The show finally started close to 8:15. The host was funny and entertaining, but very long winded. The breaks between sets lasted about as long as each set, if not longer. After just 45 minutes, they broke for what was promised to be a really short intermission. Grabbed another round of drinks quickly thinking we had just 10 to 15 minutes. After 40 more minutes of waiting, we decided to simply leave. The wait time to performance time ratio simply was so unbalanced that we were not enjoying anything. All of the performers were fantastic and did a great job, there just should have been more of it. I'd recommend having the host engage with the audience as they are coming in. Perform sketches and games before the show kicks off. This can be done at intermission as well. Don't try to cram as many people as you can in. Instead, create an environment where the show can really be enjoyed. If you cannot do food, at least have a full bar beyond what you would expect to get at a concert.

I’ve seen this show in Houston and their bigger show in Dallas and it’s always a fabulous time. My girl friends and I love the blingy costumes and the host is so funny. Perfect girls night!!

    Best show in Houston!

    by SEH on 7/17/23

Unbelievable high production values. The MC had real stage presence and was a great host even though she said she was a little nervous, it never showed. She was fantastic and has “Great T-ts!” The 5 dancers were terrific and all were very polished and excellent at their craft. Three of the dancers are from Houston, we are lucky to have such great local talent! It is a shame there is not a burlesque club for them anymore,(RIP Prohibition Club!) The costumes were gorgeous almost as pretty as the performers. Really looking forward to the August show!
