Can’t get enough of the speed, sounds, competition! Wish our home town kid would have won but maybe next year!
Expensive for one day pass...very, very limited sight line from Grandstand 7...plenty of food trucks (food is on the expensive side - 20 oz. Dr Pepper: $6.00), plenty of entertainment...people that are there to help fans find locations on the site need better training, additional signage would be helpful as well...need more covered areas for people to sit and eat...if it's going to be a sunny day, put sunscreen on your face and bring your sunglasses because the aluminum grandstands are reflective...tickets on the phone are a pain, what if you don't have a phone, you can't go? It's probably worth going at least once...Have fun if you do!
Enjoyed the event but no water stations to fill water bottles in such warm weather. Forced to buy water. Not cool
GA tickets were still way over priced for what you could see thankfully the circuit is changing next year this was our third year in a row we still plan on coming next year but we are going to try and change the way we see the race
In spite of the warm weather, the event was well run with primary concern to safety and comfort
We are ADA, had all the help we needed to get around. Volunteers were supper friendly and helpful
Teething issues aside, it’s an action-packed party of a weekend!
If you like yellow flags and wrecks, no sight lines, sitting around in the heat... this is the race for you. So far in 2 races 50% of the laps have been under caution. No thanks.
I love the event, just wish it could be scheduled of the spring or fall- TN is August is dangerously hot. We were there on Saturday. I think the majority of the grandstands on Saturday should be open seating- most of them were only 20% full and it would make the experience much better if you could move around. Maybe reserve the lower half open seating and the better seats reserved for 3 day ticket holders?
I think the event was well done, however there are a couple of minor nitpicks that I would have preferred. First, and most importantly, I would have preferred if there were more specific smoking/vapong zones. Duing the rain/thunder sheltering, the tents and buildings ended up so filled with so much swcond hand smoke that I was concerned about some of my friends who have asthma, as well as people and children suceptible to second hand smoke. I would have much preferred designated smoking zones, as are enforced at many other events. The other nitpick was that there were no pretzels!! What type of event doesn't have pretzels?! I was unable to find a single vendor on site, food truck or official food stand, that sold pretzels, and while the food was fantastic other than that, and this is a glaring exception.
