Barak on Tour
Hailing from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Grupo Barak -- named for the Hebrew word for "lightning" -- are a Christian music group preaching messages of hope, faith and, according to their website, an "extreme adoration to the Lord." They consistently receive radio play in their home country, as well as Panama, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Venezuela, and they've been nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Spanish Christian Album category.
Formed in 2009, Barak is led by lead vocalist Robert Green (the son of pastor parents), musical director Angelo Frilop and vocalist/bassist Janiel Ponciano. They released their first studio album, Mi Gran Amor, in 2010, and it went on to be a hit record all throughout Latin America.
Since their debut, Barak have released four more studio records and one live album: 2014's Generación Sedienta (Thirsty Generation), 2015's Lógica De Otro Mundo (Logic From Another World), 2016's Generación Radical (Radical Generation), the 2019 live album Shekinah, and 2022's Fuego Y Poder (Fire And Power). In 2017, Barak was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Spanish Christian Album for Generación Radical, which also peaked at No. 7 on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart.
"For us it is important to know that in these secular scenarios they recognize the word of God and they recognize the work that we Christians are doing," the band said about their Latin Grammy nod. "It fills us with great joy, although it is not what we are looking for, because what we are looking for is to take the gospel to the entire world; we will continue to make good music with the message of salvation, so that people can know that there is a god who loves them. We enjoy the additions that God gives here on earth. As musicians we feel happy."
Barak Live in Concert
Over the years, Barak have also collaborated with an impressive list of fellow artists, such as Christine D'Clario, Redimi2, Miel San Marcos, Marcos Brunet, Thalles Roberto, Álex Campos, Generation, Marcos Yaroide, and Third Heaven. The trio are equally known for achieving millions of YouTube views, with their song "Come Holy Spirit" reaching more than 120 million.
In 2020, lead singer Robert Green released his best-selling book, Dios Tiene Un Propósito Contigo (God Has a Purpose With You). Catch Barak on tour in a city near you.
Event was good with a lot of great worshippers, however was many interludes between singers. Also event started late but in general was a great time and God manifested during the worshiping.
Concert was amazing!!! The only downside was that it started at 7pm, but the group Barak didn't start performing until 9pm (way too late to start). So by 11pm they were still not done and I had to leave the concert before it finished because I had a long ride back home. Wish they would've started earlier so I could have enjoyed the whole concert.
Sound was horrible, we were seated at 208, no problem with the band or the singers, but the sound?? We can barely understand the lyrics. Lyrics projected were too small. Concert started 2 hours after and there were people over there since 6:30pm, now this can’t be understand, 2 hours?

Was not only a concert was an experience, to connect with God
The experience was amazing the only concerns that I had is the venue, the seat where I seated was so thigh the person who was in the left side literally had his elbow in my body. My wife hardly can see the stage because the floor is flat so in front of her people blocked her view.
This concert is above and beyond the presence of God is everywhere, good coordination, bathrooms are clean!! Im expected to see an artist and see Jesus face to face!! Amazing anointing and presence of God!!
Great concert! They brought an awesome performance. Aside from what they brought, the parking situation was a mess. Entry was a mess, with no clear instructions. Overall great concert; great venue but very unorganized.
