Barak on Tour
Hailing from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Grupo Barak -- named for the Hebrew word for "lightning" -- are a Christian music group preaching messages of hope, faith and, according to their website, an "extreme adoration to the Lord." They consistently receive radio play in their home country, as well as Panama, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Venezuela, and they've been nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Spanish Christian Album category.Ā
Formed in 2009, Barak is led by lead vocalist Robert Green (the son of pastor parents), musical director Angelo Frilop and vocalist/bassist Janiel Ponciano. They released their first studio album, Mi Gran Amor, in 2010, and it went on to be a hit record all throughout Latin America.
Since their debut, Barak have released four more studio records and one live album: 2014's GeneraciĆ³n Sedienta (Thirsty Generation), 2015's LĆ³gica De Otro Mundo (Logic From Another World), 2016's GeneraciĆ³n Radical (Radical Generation), the 2019 live album Shekinah, and 2022's Fuego Y Poder (Fire And Power). In 2017, Barak was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Spanish Christian Album for GeneraciĆ³n Radical, which also peaked at No. 7 on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart.
"For us it is important to know that in these secular scenarios they recognize the word of God and they recognize the work that we Christians are doing," the band said about their Latin Grammy nod. "It fills us with great joy, although it is not what we are looking for, because what we are looking for is to take the gospel to the entire world; we will continue to make good music with the message of salvation, so that people can know that there is a god who loves them. We enjoy the additions that God gives here on earth. As musicians we feel happy."
Barak Live in Concert
Over the years, Barak have also collaborated with an impressive list of fellow artists, such as Christine D'Clario, Redimi2, Miel San Marcos, Marcos Brunet, Thalles Roberto, Ćlex Campos, Generation, Marcos Yaroide, and Third Heaven. The trio are equally known for achieving millions of YouTube views, with their song "Come Holy Spirit" reaching more than 120 million.
In 2020, lead singer Robert Green released his best-selling book, Dios Tiene Un PropĆ³sito Contigo (God Has a Purpose With You). Catch Barak on tour in a city near you.
Great concert! They brought an awesome performance. Aside from what they brought, the parking situation was a mess. Entry was a mess, with no clear instructions. Overall great concert; great venue but very unorganized.
It was amazing the presence of God was there. It really heal my soul I needed to feel the Holy Spirit and he was with us there at all times. Was a unique special feeling I left renew and with peace, happiness in my life. They need to visit us more often šš½ā„ļø God Bless them always

Barak is a group that bring Godās presence and Word to the atmosphere. My husband had never gone to a Cristian concert and he loved it. I thank God and them and all the group that worked together to make this happen. It was an extraordinary night.

it wasn't a sold out event,but it was amazing.I enjoyed every single part of it.
Loved the concert, grupo Barak is so anointed LOVE them. I only gave 4 stars because they made us wait for over an hour to get seated. The concert suppose to start at 7 and they let us in at 8 pm. Thats the only problem other than that the concert WAS AMAZING
