    Absolutely incredible

by eLindemann on 9/16/12Sixth & I Historic Synagogue - Washington

Never has a concert moved me as much as this concert. It was simply the best concert I've ever been to. Nick (lead vocalist) had perfect pitch through every song; watching Tom on the violin and accordion was hypnotizing, his ability is mind-bending.

    So intimate and great acoustics!

    by Tabby13 on 9/15/12Sixth & I Historic Synagogue - Washington

We've seen devotchka before at the 930 club and although the sound is better and you miss out on the ladies spin their acrobatics and such during the show, the venue allows for a very intimate feel while enjoying the concert. Devotchka performed amazingly as always.

    Devotchka at 6th & I!!!

by KNielsen on 9/15/12Sixth & I Historic Synagogue - Washington

The 6th & I Historic Synagogue is probably the coolest venue I have ever been to. The fact that the concert was actually in the temple was awesome, and there truly is not a bad seat in the house! It is also an incredibly easy venue, period: easy parking, easy entrance/exit, and it's in a part of town that is not shady (which is always a plus). My husband and I plan on seeing more shows here in the future. Devotchka was A-Mazing! My husband has been listening to them for years, so I jumped at the chance to get tickets. They were incredible live, and the best part is that the band was having fun performing. You could truly tell that they love their jobs and the music they play. It was awesome :) I would see them again in a heartbeat.

Devotchka rocks, so does the zoo venue!

by gypsypunk on 7/9/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

The weather cooperated and cooled off nearly 30 degrees before the show started. That helped tremendously. The zoo venue is totally awesome. I had never seen Devotchka before so didn't know what to expect from a live show. They delivered! They were tons of fun to watch, and played a lot of up beat tempo songs. The energy was intense, especially during the encore. Loved the band, loved the venue!

DeVotchka at the MN Zoo July 6, 2012

by thirtysomethingalso on 7/8/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

A really great show. Opener Caroline Smith and the Goodnight Sleeps were superb. The outdoor venue that is the Zoo is truly unique and spectacular. DeVotchKa started playing as a relieving cool front blew in, followed by a lightning show- the band was excellent, playing new and old songs that blend Mid Eastern world music with straight ahead rock. They take you to a different place.

The best most attention holding artists I have ever seen. It was amazing. I stood mouth agape for 95%the of the show because I could not understand what I was watching, in a good way. The arrangement if their songs were shocking, and awe inspiring.

    Great as always

by rlillion on 7/8/12Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater - Apple Valley

I've seen Devotchka a few times, and they never disappoint. By the end of the show the whole place was dancing and the band seemed as happy as the crowd to be there. Any time they come to town I'll be there.

    Devotchka Delivers

by Animalee on 10/30/11Ogden Theatre - Denver

Great Halloween concert. Devotchka deserves such a wider audience. They are among the best live bands around and Denver is fortunate to have such local talent.

    Great Venue

by ABQGomezFan on 10/7/11Mountain Winery - Saratoga

Gomez is a great band to live in concert. Would like to see them again as headliner or as solo act. Not a big fan of DeVotchKa ...along with a lot of others. Many fans left after Gomez finished their set. Mountain Vineyard could do a better job with taxis and shuttles especially after the concert. Cabs should be in the parking lot after the show since the road is one way until the parking lot clears.

    DeVotchKa /Gmoez

by Anonymous on 10/3/11Mountain Winery - Saratoga

Gomez rocked but man was it annoying that we couldn't dance because of the venue adn their tight securitey. Dance in your seats and not in the aisle..boo. Gomez should have been headlining. hardly anyone was dancing for Devotchka and we left early cause they were putting us to sleep.

Gome and Kopecky concet minus DeVotchKa

by LolaJoanie on 10/2/11Mountain Winery - Saratoga

We got there early as requested by the Gomez band, but not sure why other than they told us the concert started early. Unfortunately we weren't there for a nice night. It was very cold and windy. I could see how it would be a fabulous venue on a nice warm night. We liked the Kopecky Family band. The female singer was fabulous. The reason for being there was to see Gomez. They came on 2nd and we were confused because we thought they were the head liners. They were fabulous. But their time on stage was way too short. The DeVotchKa band: we stayed for 3 songs then left. We didn't think the 3 groups were a good mix together. The DeVotchka people were very happy to see them and got into the music and you could tell the Gomez people weren't and they left. We saw Gomez last year with Blind Pilot in SF and they were a much better combination. The ride down the hill was a little hairy. Going up the hill the beginning of the hight we saw taxi's coming down. We could see how taking a taxi especially if you are drinking would be the best idea.

Good music, spoiled by a few obnoxious people

by kwxilvr on 10/2/11Mountain Winery - Saratoga

I'm sure other reviews praise DeVotchKa and Gomez. Both bands sounded good through the sound system, and their music is a wonderful fit for the winery. But on a down note, we were near several groups that talked loudly over the music. I was sadly disappointed that so many people, all of whom seemed fairly young, seemed possessed to practically shout at each other as though they were in a bar. Having some twerps behind you loudly talking about astrology or some such nonsense, while the band is working so hard to build a beautiful moment is such a waste. And this loud over-talking seemed to erupt in numerous places in front and behind us. If that's what's become of the concert going experience, then I wont' be spending my hard earned cash to go to the Winery to see concerts. Too bad, too, because it's a beautiful setting where I generally feel comfortable.

    Worth the Wait!

by ShawnaNana on 4/5/11First Avenue - Minneapolis

I've been waiting to see Devotchka for a couple years now. They were well worth the wait. They played a great show with everyones favorite songs, and pretty projections to go along with their beautiful music.

    Master musicians with great energy

by MplsKing on 4/4/11First Avenue - Minneapolis

It is always a treat to see true artists who love their craft, and the band members of Devotchka definitely qualify. I get as much joy watching the accordionist switch to a violinist as I hear in the impassioned voice of the lead singer. The music is gorgeous and the energy is always electric with this band.
