    Sockhop 50's

by Anonymous on 5/23/10Boettcher Concert Hall - Denver

    1) featured artist conductor did not show due to illness. 2) 50's harmony group was out of tune, and just tired, one of the men appeared I'll. 3) The orchestra and conductor were OUTSTANDING, they should have performed the whole evening, without the vocal group. We would attend a similar event if only performed by the Colorado Symphony.

by thepilotdude on 5/17/10Boettcher Concert Hall - Denver

We had never been to a symphony concert before & were't sure of what to expect. Not neccessarily a fan of classical music either, but were thoroughly impressed and definitly plan to return.

    Broadway Rocks

by EstesPark on 5/9/10Boettcher Concert Hall - Denver

I bought these tickets for my daughters first experience with the CSO. They absolutely loved it as did my husband and myself. The rythym of the whole evening was right on and they really reached out to the audience and got them involved . I truly felt the title was very appropriate for the ourtcome of the evening!

    The Beatles Concert

by Sunshinemaker on 5/6/10Boettcher Concert Hall - Denver

The concert was excellent, but the 3 seats I ordered online were very bad. I had ordered Row C in the first orchestra BUT the stage was moved out to accommodate the performers, so Row C became Row A. Being the first row, we were facing directly into the speakers mounted on the stage. To say the roar was deafening would be an understatement. We immediately got up and moved to a row further back, since it was obvious that the performance was not sold-out and there were seats available. Had this not been an option, my friends and I would have left the performance. Having grown up seeing theater and concerts in NYC, I never order or accept first-row seating.......for me, the first row is as bad as the last!

    Music of the Beatles

by Redneb on 5/2/10Boettcher Concert Hall - Denver

I didn't know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the music and with the symphony it just made it better. The chorus added something extra to the performance and I enjoyed the songs they did. All in all it was a great time!

by wlykyoti on 5/2/10Boettcher Concert Hall - Denver

The lead singer was great. The band was good. Would have liked to have had a bit more of the symphony but overall I enjoyed it a great deal. I would go again if they came back.

They took us back "Across the Universe" It was twenty(43) years ago today, that Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play They've been going in and out of style But they're guaranteed to raise a smile. So may I introduce to you The act you've known for all these years, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Superb evening with the CSO Pops, Chorus, "The Band" and The Long and Winding Road Will you still need me, will you still feed me When I'm sixty-four.
