About

Hall & Oates in Concert

Pop rock legends Hall & Oates blended R&B, soul, and new wave influences to fabulous effect in the '80s, resulting in some of the decade's most iconic and beloved songs. Oozing with originality and craftsmanship, No. 1 hits like "Maneater" and "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)" sound as fresh today as they did 30 years ago, eliciting collective swoons from audiences at their 2013 live concerts. With an induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, the boys have remained in peak form, treating audiences around the US to a string of highly anticipated concerts since then.

Fans who bought tickets say:

"Just another Hall & Oates show....FRIGGN AWESOME! Those guys blew it out like they always do. Can't wait for the next one."

"H & O are just as animated as they were 20 years ago! Exploding on the stage playing a great variety of fan favorites."

"Loved it all. 2 encores and ending with Private Eyes - AWESOME!!"

Hall & Oates Background

After meeting at Philadelphia's Temple University in the late '60s, Daryl Hall and John Oates left their respective bands and joined forces as a duo, releasing Whole Oats, their first record as Hall & Oates, in 1972. Following relatively moderate success in the '70s, the band hit their stride in 1980 with Voices, which contained their first No. 1 single "Kiss on My List." 1981 follow-up Private Eyes was an even bigger success, spawning two No. 1 singles and kicking off one of the most impressive chart runs of the '80s. Named the No. 1 duo of all time by Billboard Magazine, Hall & Oates continue to perform and record, making their much-deserved entry into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

    Hall and Oates Reno-Sparks

    by Tony on 1/24/23

HALL AND OATES, TIME TO HANG IT UP! My wife and I saw Hall & Oates in Reno/Sparks. The band was good but the vocals were very bad. Hall had a hard time holding a note and was basically talking the lyrics. I’m happy to say that I got to see them, but also disappointed because they sounded like bad karaoke night. They should also interact with the audience more. Maybe tell some stories about how they came up with some of their songs and lengthen their show. We came along way and paid a lot of money to see them for an hour and a half (maybe) show. Yes, I know they’re getting up there in age but I have seen other older artists and they have gone over two hours. .

    Hall & Oates, Reno NV

by ArubaJim on 12/5/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

This duo played a nearly sold-out show in Reno, NV and brought all the classics with them. There was a little fan engagement and banter. For the most part they opened the show on time, played the songs we know and love and departed, decent concert, nothing more nothing less. Glad I was able to see them after listening to them for so many years, even if I didn't know many of the newer songs.

    Enjoyed the concert

by Lolita on 11/17/22Mark G Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Atlantic City

Enjoyed the venue and had good seats The music was fun and it was obvious that Hall and Oates were having a great time which just enhanced the event. The only distraction was how loud the music was as sometimes the vocals were drowned out

    Incredible

    by Kristen Smith on 10/27/22

I was able to get a front row center ticket last minute which made me happy because my original ticket I thought was front row was really 8th… not happy. I didn’t fly from Portland to Reno for 8th row. So luck was on my side. My room at the Nugget looked out over the stage so I could watch and listen to sound check as I was getting ready for the show. Staff at the venue were wonderful. My front row neighbors were all laughing, dancing and singing (the couple sitting next to me were on my flight from Portland) Even had some drinks with the band after the show. I had the ultimate concert experience with my favorite band. I thought they sounded wonderful!

    Liked the venue

by Foreverforgetful on 10/27/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Older person, seen 48 concerts this year, yours was the 1st with no internet and could not pull up tickets, a real hassle having to walk several blocks to get it! I guess I have to have kids show me how to put in phone so don;t have to log in! Saw them in South Carolina and played twice as long here, sad, but, still danced my butt off

The show was inspiring, with the love of goodness.

by Goodness for Goodness sack on 10/26/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Really amazing , good feelings when known by all that attended. Going for that higher love. which was present. Pure love, could be seen and felt. As my spine let me know of the innocent that was created to know of goodness only developed for our love of music.

    Mediocre

by Gogirl on 10/25/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

I was looking forward to this concert, having never before seen Hall & Oates. I realize we’re all getting along in age, however I was shocked at how off tune Daryl Hall was. I have seen aging performers a lot and the arrangements are retooled to meet there current vocal range without sacrificing quality. I was very disappointed that that wasn’t so with the Hall & Oates concert. I’m a big fan of Daryl‘s at home series, clearly the technical mix is far better there.

    Seating was to cramped

by TJ on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Had to move whenever someone wanted out. Seating was total trash if you are taller than 5’2”.

    Good, not Great

by Larry G. on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Venue is extremely uncomfortable, poor seating and sound system poor. Wish it was indoors might have sounded better. Will not see a concert at the Nugget again. GSR blows them away.
