San Francisco 49ers History
The San Francisco 49ers were established in 1946 as a member of the All-America Football Conference and later joined the NFL in 1950 when the leagues merged. Tony Morabito, founder of the San Francisco 49ers, was the sports pioneer of the West, bringing San Francisco its first major league team in a professional sports business that was dominated by the East Coast.
By 1979, the 49ers had won three NFC West Division Championships, but with the introduction of quarterback Joe Montana, the team quickly began to dominate the NFL. By 1981, the San Francisco 49ers won their first Super Bowl Championship (XVI) and would go on to repeat their Super Bowl Success in 1984 (XIX), 1988 (XXIII), 1989 (XXIV), and again in 1994 (XXIX).
By 2013, the 49ers once again found themselves playing in a Super Bowl Championship (XLVII) against the Baltimore Ravens. With a surprising loss of 31-34, the San Francisco 49ers left the Super Bowl for the first time without a victory. The team has produced a number of notable Hall of Fame players throughout its history, including Bob Saint Clair, Jimmy Johnson, Ronnie Lott, Dave Wilcox, Steve Young, Fred Dean, and Jerry Rice, alongside head coach Bill Walsh.

Our kids bought us tickets to the NFC Championship game for Christmas. Best Christmas Present Ever! Great seats in section 145, one issue is that it would be nice if you didn't have to hop up and down every time someone in your row went to relieve themselves or get a snack or beverage, very little leg room. That and $20 beers, I just can't do it, paying a case of beer price for a single brew. Fantastic game, loved seeing Journey at halftime, the 2nd half was awesome!
This was my second time seeing the 49ers play at Levi’s Stadium, and it was great! Beautiful stadium, friendly staff, signs are super helpful. Leaving the stadium on the light rail was super simple, as they had gated lines leading you where you needed to be. We were out of there in about 15 minutes.
Had the best watching my favorite team beat down the Seattle Seahawks!
Levi's stadium is well organized from the parking to concessions.
Absolutely A+ experience at the Cowboys 49ers game. Electric atmosphere. Simply amazing. Club seats were on point with an amazing friendky crowd. Everyone is very humble and pleasant to deal with. Will return again! 49ers 4 Life!!
Best game ever. Niners are still undefeated with block Purdy and George kittle..
I purchased tickets to watch the San Francisco 49er game vs Cardinals on October 1. 2023. Usually we are able to pay for Handicap parking when we arrive at the stadium. After we waited an hour in line to park the attendant notified us that we cannot pay for handicap parking and that we would have to purchase ahead of time. We asked her when this policy changed. She said that they decided today. My mom, who is 73 years old with Lupus on her legs, can not walk long distances. She is considered fall risk. For them not to announce this on their website of this change is absolutely not acceptable. I had no choice but to pay$211.64 for parking tickets on ticketmaster, which is unacceptable. Had I known they were not allowing handicap to pay at the event ahead of time, then I would have made other arrangements. This should actually be a lawsuit against ticketmaster and Levi's Stadium. I would like to receive at least partial credit for what I had to pay for this parking cost since we were not aware of the change that they decided to make the day of without advance notification. Very frustrating as this ruined our day that was supposed to be a day for my mother to enjoy.
Had a blast!! Great win for my Niners!! It was a bit hot, especially for Oct 1 but other than trying to leave the parking lots it was a good time
I am not a 49ers fan, but what an incredible experience, from the game, to the stadium everything was top notch. My only complaint is the ride share pickup after the game is a loooooooong walk
