About

JOE SATRIANI IN CONCERT:

Joe Satriani’s virtuoso guitar playing is more than just flawless technique and blistering speed -- he also forms an emotional connection with fans that is beyond words. His genuine love of riff-based rock ensures that audiences are in for a sonic thrill ride at his live shows, where his nimble fingers and finely tuned ear bring his ballads to life. While “Satch” (as friends and fans refer to him) turns melodies inside out and shreds up a storm, his cast of astounding supporting musicians keeps the grooves solidly rocking throughout six-string stunners like “Surfing with the Alien”, “Satch Boogie”, and “Flying in a Blue Dream”.  Ticket buyers are in for a transcendent instrumental experience that can't be beat, featuring a brilliant musician in impeccable form.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The highest-selling instrumental rock guitarist of all time, Joe Satriani was born in Westbury, NY in 1956. Before he gained fame, Satch made a living teaching some of the most influential guitarists of the ‘80s, including Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Steve Vai (David Lee Roth), and Larry LaLonde (Primus). His solo career took off with the hits “Always with Me, Always with You” and “Satch Boogie” off his 1987 album Surfing with the Alien. He kept his hot streak alive with his next two albums Flying in a Blue Dream (1988) and The Extremist (1992), which both went gold. In 1996 Satriani started the G3 Tour with friends Steve Vai and Eric Johnson to bring instrumental guitar music to the masses. In 2008 Satch joined forces with former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar (vocals), Michael Anthony (bass), and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith to create the supergroup Chickenfoot. While those projects keep him crazy busy, Satriani still continues to tour -- bringing venues like Warner Theatre to capacity -- and record as a solo artist, releasing Unstoppable Momentum in 2013.

    Satch Vai

Do you really need a review? If so, you probably listen to Taylor Swift and you should trade all of your music in for talented artists.

I’ve been listening to Joseph Satriani since his first album. As someone who appreciates a good guitar player- he’s your man. Go- even if you don’t know any of his music.

I've never seen such raw talent in any other musicians in my entire life, and they've only learned to refine it.

Easily two of the best guitarists alive today in any genre. And both on stage at the same time! I could watch these guys every day!

Master and Former Apprentice = EPIC!

by MishunKontrol on 5/3/24The Factory - St. Louis

First of all Steve Vai opens the show with a set that went over an hour and 15 minutes, AND HE KILLED IT!!! Then the man who taught him, Joe Satriani himself comes out, resurrects it, JUST TO KILL IT ALL OVER AGAIN!!! Satch played all of my favorites from his extensive library and did not disappoint at any moment. These two have great respect for each other and are masters at their craft. When they played together for the last few songs it wasn't epic. IT WAS BIBLICAL!!! The crowd was more mature than a typical rock concert, but that made for a great time! Lots of good conversation before and between acts. Just a lot of people coming together to rock out and have a most excellent time! The Factory is a venue made for concerts. We were almost in the very back and still had a great view! The location of facilities and bars was well thought out and convenient. The "Mystery-ish"beers was fun to try something new. IT got a little warm up there but that was due to a sold-out crowd and all the energy in the place. Felt completely safe and no worry about my car and just be able to enjoy the show. I'm grateful to God to be able to have attended such an evening to see a couple of my all-time favorite artists in a place worthy to host it. I hope to come back soon!

Joe Satriani, a.k.a Satch, was awesome. Great show. Kinda no frills. Just spectacular guitar magic. Everything you could want from a guitar hero.
